I understand, my friend. Your in a very tough situations. I can see the following reasons why your not getting jobs.
1. You don't have any solid experience in any field to get a senior level positions.
2. At 30 people may think you will have attitude issues and won't do fresher jobs reporting to people younger than you.
3. No strong brands
So what should you do? Read the book Ask the Head Hunter by Nick Crocodilos. It is a life changing book according to me. In brief I will tell what he suggests. But I still recomnend you try to lay your hands on this book and read it.
1. Do reserach and deep soul searching and identify your interests and areas of strength
2. Decide on target companies and jobs you want to do
3. Create linked in account. Add all your friends. Search for contacts in your target jobs/companies.
4. Join communities in areas of interest and network with people there
5. Read papers in the area and see if you can network with the authors
6. Speak to them and sell yourself hard
And in addition my views
1. At this point don't bother about position or salary as long as it is something you like and can do well
2. Express your flexibility to the company person your interacting with
3. Once you get the job, hold tight and hang on. Don't even dream of a change till you can show creditable achievement in the field.
4. And as and when it is time to change, do logical progression from career development perspective. Don't go purely for salary or switch to unrelated field.
