The Food Court above GVK {Pollynation} has suffieicient enough space. Most of the Hyd Tweetups happen there.

It was good to see new pagals in the meet, enthusiastic!!!...All sort of discussion went on...ab websitews, orgnaisations and yeah about YUM BHE YEAH ...got to know few new things.. Dint knew how 2 1/2 hours passed( I was late by 3 hours though). Intelligent discussion tho challa.

Sab kuch acha tha, par....har bhar mujhe hie T- Shirt nahi miltha hey..why me..kyu?? kyu?? kyu??...even last year i came late to the meet and I dint get T- Shirt even this time, story is the same...dho saal..dho meet..aur ek T-Shirt bi nahi..bahuth na insafi hey.

Anyways I am happy that I have met new people...hope to have more PG meets with more crowd.

Oh am i the late one again..:(.
Well i have this bad/good habit of articulating everything in the form of a story so puys bear with me.
I love writing experiences, listening and giving gyaan.(listening mostly :D).
It started with my journey from mysore to hyd for 15 hrs.I had my sis's wedding on 22nd and as the meeting was on the prevs day, i was so occupied with work that i was late by 1:30 hrs.(TIME timer always flashes in my brain).I was awestruck to see around 10 ppl there.
Rohit was already giving gyaan on PG,its origin then.He brought in many new theories and interesting debatable topics :P.Then our captaain ji left becoz he had to go out with a "very imp" person :).
jaydev then chipped in few CAT fundaes.santosh-the entrepreneur also expressed his ideas on cat,his strategies etc.Iconoclast from my brotherhood(infy) has just left it and i am really happy for that :D.
(i cant really mention the name coz am typin it from its very own computer and i could be caught).
Although raman didn't talk much ,he is all ready to share his GMAT fundaes and VA gyaan.Thanks .
Jaydev ,now that i know u are a qa god,share some gyaan in hydDT thread na :)
Icon,manoj,santosh and the rest (am bad at rememberin names) please do keep postin on HDT thread so that we can have meets and some gd sessions later in future :).

I really wished i got a tee..neverthless am gonna get one "MinD your Business Anna" waala.
Learnings:
After the session i got to know how to take a test and not give a test.
How cognitive misers we all are and
what we learn from the "breaking window" theory and apply in our preparation/performance in mocks.

I talk non-sense i know.:D

Finally attended the meet ..... this was my first feeling i got after i met rohit and other puys at our meet . I landed around 2:40 near tank bund and walked about one hour to reach eat street

i was wondering whether i could really make to the meet as i have no idea about eat street( thanks keerthi , she helped me by sending message about the directions , but still it took me an hour to reach there)

To start with the meet was very engaging and thanks to rohit and other puys for making it successful

It was really interesting to hear from rohit about his experiences and thanks to some enthusiastic questions from other puys i became more informative now

rohit , thanks for useful tip about why mba ? to think about an existing problem and how mba helps me to solve that problem...

overall i am delighted to meet many puys(shanker , sareen , ravish , keerthi , lucky murari , roopak , srikanth (iconoclast) and other members of HDT'10 and especially rohit

After the meet me and iconoclast(srikanth) had an unexpected dinner at bawarchi and shared our thoughts .......

i wish iconoclast and other puys all the best for mba entrance exams and looking forward to another PG meet soon(hope to have rohit in our next meet too)

Firstly thanks to Keerthi for coordinating for the meet!

The surprising part of the meet was that except myself and Shanky22, everyone came to the meet for the first time. For me, as usual it was great time and luckymurari has posted the happenings quite correctly. Other people, do post your experiences and suggest what else we can do in the meets!

@Tatimatla - Do meet the people in Hyderabad, they do need to listen to you!

Here are couple of pics from my cam. Jaidev had more ics with more people but I think he has not able to upload them.
@Jaidev - You can either upload them on some other site and share the link here or just mail the pics at info at pagalguy dot com and I will upload them.

Now the baton for hyderabad meets is in new hands. Let us see will they be able to match the enthusiasm of once upon a time when Hyderabad used to be the most happening city!

Puys...too bad I missed the meet, was off on a wedding expedition to Vijayawada. But...there always is another PG meet! When's the next one?

Finally out of the after effects of an awesome weekend that included the Big PagalGuy Meet. Here is my account of Big Hyd PG Meet .

On Sunday morning, Keerthi reminded about the meet to all the people who confirmed their attendance for the meet. I am a Night Owl and couldn't wake up early and hence arrived the meet almost 30 minutes late (I am really sorry for that!!). I was accompanied by one of my friend, Shrikanth and we were lucky that the venue (Eat Street) that usually is crowded on weekends was sparsely crowded and we were able to find the PG group via Rohit's Pagal Guy Shirt

There were around 6-7 people already at the meet and Rohit was in full-flow explaining about How Pagal Guy Started and all. Initially it was all one sided talk with Rohit speaking and we all listening to him. He told the PG story - the bonding Alwyn, Apoorv and Rohit shared, how they came together etc. I myself being an (aspiring) Entrepreneur gained lots of Gyaan from him {Dunno how others felt though :P} The usual "Why MBA?" questions came up and as expected we all had our own reasons. Rohit did some blasting of Coaching centres , how CAT is overrated etc stuff and why MBA might not be so much a life and death question like many see it. Meanwhile, some more people have joined the meet and some people left. Rohit also gave us some inside info and future of PG. {Wait for it!}

Rohit brought the PG Shop merchandise {T-shirts to be precise} and as we had more people than the number of Shirts, an inevitable Lucky Draw was to be held. Names of attendees down and random numbers were to be chosen to know who the winner is. I first called up Number '3' and it turned out to be my own name {Lucky guy Lucky Murari }. Other people who won the shirts are Srikanth, Iconoclast,ravish prabhakar and jaidev iyer {Thanks to keerthi_koch for the names}. Too bad, Keerthi, who organized the meet couldn't get one coz the shirt of her size was not present !!! Anyways there is always another time :)

Again we began discussing some more issues and this time it has become more of like a conversation with lots of ideas and discussions flowing through. It was 830 or so by the time and so we called it a day ending an awesome PG Meet. It was the first PG meet for many of us and glad to know many people on PG through this.

Attendees : keerthi_koch, estranged_gnrs {Rohit}, Sarin, Shanky, Manoj, Srikanth, Lucky Murari, Iconoclust09, Raman, RavishPrabhakar, roopak bhartee,scuderia, jaidev iyer{Remind me of other names. I am sure I missed many others' thanks to my poor photographic memory}

PS: pendyal did not come to the meet. Probably his made him fall into inevitable

I guess the meet will last for a long time, may be till 9 -10 PM. Also we are starting around 3 PM. Lot many people are expected and MadCapz interviews are on plan as well. I think Eat Street is a better place with no restrictions on as such. Moreover, Eat Street has been communicated as the venue on Facebook etc. , any changes will lead to confusion.

Let us keep Eat Street the venue for this time, we will visit the Paradise later.

These meets are not only about gyaan on how to study and get into the dream B School. It is also about friendships, motivating, caring and helping.

Based on timing and people, we usually have 2 kinds of meets.

First are Study Meets where people who are taking CAT and other exams meet and prepare together. In preparation, they usually discuss mocks, some problems and they help each other mutually. for example, someone amongst you might be very good at VA but bad in Maths and thats where others can help you. In the last 6-7 yrs, these meets have resulted in long lasting friendships. People have prepared together, gone to B Schools, still stay connected, and now the network helps them a lot in their work as well.

Second is usual Gyan meets. They usually comprise of the people in first group ( the MBA exam tackers) as well as oldies like us. In these meets you will get to interact with Alumni of B schools, old friends and the discussions are usually about Life, MBA, specializations, industry insights, career queries and general chit chat.

There was a time when people in Hyderabad were so active that there was one meet almost everyday! I hope we will have lots of people joining here this time who will find some exceptional but humble, competitive but helpful people in pagalguy meets!
