Had joined CL's classroom program for CAT 2010 in 3rd yr of engineering around June-July 2009.......first class was just intros and general gyan about reading newspapers and all.....there the teacher mentioned about pagalguy where MBA aspirants discuss about various stuff......so came back home and registered at once.....was not active at all for first 6-7 months.....infact hardly visited a couple of times.....then mocks started.....a friend of mine told me that here people post mock scores and discuss about it and that its a good place to compare scores and see where you stand......opened PG after the next CL mock......and somewhere in the first few pages saw something that left me :shocked:....geminite ka 130+ score....

From then on started visiting PG more regularly....after mocks and at times otherwise too......aound that time Rohit aka estranged_gnrs was coming down to Kolkata and a meet was planned.....decided to attend it......met quite a few peole there......came to know later that they were active and well known in PG......skr, first_timer, subhakimi, ashish13dec, abhishek sharma.......they sat a bit away from me in the meet so couldn't interact much (did that in the later meets)......did interact a fair bit with AnandJJ and superchiku though......Satwinder was there too but he left early.....uske baad se to yaha forum pe aana-jaana chalta raha......PG meets bhi once in a while hone lage......Madcapz bhi ban gaya.....bas PG me apni gaddi chal padi......

I came to know about this awesome place in October 2008 when i was at home during dussehra vacation. CAT was around 1 month away that time.. One day there was a series on CAT preparation telecasted on NDTV Metronation... they were asking aspirants how they are preparaing for CAT and couple of them mentioned Pagalguy . Then few days later logged into this site for the first time. But didnt know that time how to get best out of this place. Then for next few months, it completely slipped out of my mind.

Began my CAT preparation in Feb 2009, joined CL, few days later again heard about this site from faculty and senoirs. And from that day ,this name never slipped out of my mind. Read some awesome stories on AIWTSC and fell in love with this place

Mine is completely a different story,last year i went to a seminar in t.i.m.e for which b-schools to apply and the faculty member there telling the students not to believe anyone in pagalguy etc.Bang when i came back home opened pagalguy just to check what it is and at that seminar i thought that we and bimtech as my dream college but joining pg i can dream big and now i am into pg big time must thank the faculty(although he did not want me to believe in pg) for letting me know about pg and aiwstac is the thing that brings all the motivation,and if i wasn't at pg i might have joined mba
p.s-got 85.61 in cat 10,without any serious preparation and didn't go for gd/pi at xime,we etc.
Just went for ximb hrm gd/pi.

all thanks to Mr. Google...1/2 a decade back(when I had my first MBA brainwave!) this site was just starting to pick up amongst potential aspirants..and I remember I was searching for some mock CAT paper(something of that sort) when I accidentally bumped into this..and what followed was millions of hours of being glued onto the forums, discussions, thanks and groans..new friendships and PG meets..tee shirts and what not!..the love still remains..and I have no qualms in accepting that I finally could make it into(and pass out of!) a decent enough B-School was largely coz of PG..

i was never interested in doing mba until last month when i saw a friend of mine solving few quant questions on PG.
Then someone told me that its a MBA preparation site..... i wasn't at all interested in this.
This week when i returned to my hometown, i thought to do MBA preparation as i had leisure time after my work hours.
So searched PG on google and first got to know about AIWTSAC and GDPI books and downloaded them and got a lot of inspiration from them to apply for CAT.
So here i am now aiming for IIMs like all you guys.

i asked google devta for cat preparation tips and bang on it showed PG I looked around and found the site more constructivly social, thus joined it

one paagal told another paagal that a forum of paagals waiting for one more paagal to join ... pagal thought whats a big deal ...lessee ...meet more pagals at a pagalkhana named pagalguy.com...got registered and found out --its world's very very interesting pagalkhaana ...and that too ...with grooming pagal managers .

During my Cat preparation i header about PG but due to some problem i could not join. but now i have completed my MBA and using PG to share my knowledge as well as to learn more.

once faculty at coaching told us to register at it, i did but i never followed it back..

i always used to ignore pg mails, one day i opened and found it as good preparation environment

Hi Puys....

First time in 2009, I registered at PG so that I can get some good stuff and info. But later I lost touch to this website. I was not so passionate about that. But I realized importance of PG and started communication all other puys.

I really would like to thank Moderators and all the member puys who are encouraging in provide a very good guidance, support and help to each other.

I believe PG has achieved its goal. Keep rocking PG and Puys....

Wile searching for MBA related websites , one day I read it in one Competition Master Issue.

I remember reading 2 website in Competition master :

I laughed out and said , what business do Mads and Donkeys have with MBA , today this insane place means much to me and I got tons of Info...

I joined PG in 2009. I think I was searching most probably for IIMs' criteria and then and bumped into PaGaLGuY.com :D.
The interface and access options to the threads were very difficult to recognize. I think it has the most hizibizi homepage.
But then I was not a regular member to the site and I think the first post I made was in the quant thread of 2009 and got those questions wrong .:lookround: I saw few guys very active Abhinav(IMI wala), pk_gt1 over there. But did not feel attracted enough to come back and post again :oops:.
But I used to waste lot of time on net so one of my friend(userid-simy :)) suggested me PG as it is a dedicated MBA site and also to a great extent pk_gt1. These two people and TAPMI 2010 thread made a regular member of of PG ......................

In the month of March I was surfing internet for some free CAT material to download. then in google search Pagalguy.com link appeared, I visited the site, and joined it. that day was 19th March 2010 on which one of the most memorable accident in my life happened

I am a final year Comp. Engg. student of DCE, and here goes my story---

In March 2009, an alumnus of NSIT (sister college of DCE) came to our campus to tell us about a very new and exciting course that she had done at Dartmouth--the MEM(master of engineering management). I found her talk pretty exciting, so decided to check out details of the course for myself.
That evening I went to Google and typed in the course name, and lol, the very first search result read "Anyone for MEM?" I went ahead to the page, which of course, was a PG thread. Though there was no reply and I didn't get my answer, I had found something truly exciting---PAGALGUY.
At first the name confused me--to join or not to?
But over the next 1-1.5 years, as I 'bumped' into PG threads again and again via Google, I realised that if you are keen on an MBA in India or even abroad, this place is actually a Treasure Trove of knowledge. All, and I mean each and every post on this place is worth reading and treasuring forever in your memory.
I myself have asked a few queries and what surprised me was the speed at which they were answered! I remember getting 3 replies in a space of just 20 mins. on one particular thread!
Which is when I got hooked.......

Back in mid 2008. Heard the name from a guy who had come for a guest lecture at a workshop organized by IMS! He was mentioning it to his colleague in passing (during snacks break or something. he mentioned "Pagalguy forums" a few times in his talk) He turned out to be my boss AT IMS later on.

I Googled Pagalguy the next morning and found.....THIS PLACE!

Wasn't active on it till February 2010 but since then I have become a regular here. Had a posting average of 4.61 at one point with little spam! Sadly with a B-school come tight schedules, even to a loafer like Yours Truly!

I came across this website way back when I was surfing for some fundoo named websites on Google. But that was when I was into my initial years of engineering. But then when I joined Endeavor Careers Pvt. Ltd. for my CAT coaching classes, they suggested me this site.
This site is now a permanent tab in my net browsers, and I can always be found online here whenever my net is on. That is how interesting and addictive this awesome website is.
