Me thinks the thread was either deleted or moved to the Recycle bin and therefore you couldn't access it. There is nothing called a partial ban

I have two things, I would like to ask;

First, I just tried to access a thread from the PG mainpage...Hi, by Wayne, and this was the message that I got, also not being able to access it...

Well i've seen it happen a few times that a coupla threads are opened almost simultaneously on some result. In that case, the mods will see which of the 2 is more popular and lock the other. If you are going to post the link anything over 10mins since the result was declared, rest assured that somebody has already posted the link and you should therefore be searching for the appropriate thread.
Should you realise that you've inadvertently opened a thread, do report it yourself to the mods. I am sure the gesture will be appreciated by all.

the first reason is completely valid

for already posting the link - it is quite possible that multiple threads are opened when results are 'officially' declared, so somebody may just post the result link in the another thread even when it was posted in the first thread.

then what to do???

Off the topn of my head, 2 factors:-

Are you posting the link before the results have been "officially" declared or after? This could then become a legal hassle for PG.com

U got to make 38 more posts to become Expert pagal...and in total 300 posts for Hardcore pagal..Abhi ke liye itna hi bahut hai...aage ki baadme sochna...

But thn...tht doesnt mean tht u start spamming threads....because tht will be taken care of and if u still spam...u will be banned...

So take care and just make useful posts...Ask ur query`s or help sum one answerin their queries...Like wat i m doin now...!!!

Actually I started a new thread named"Mediocore group of improvement in english" which was blacked out!!:(
And that too without citing a proper reason!!!:neutral:
So!!Could any of the mods explain out the reason!!!!

this cud b due to 2 reasons :-

1. if a particular user is a B-school student, then he will hv all the circles under his name glown up along with the name of the school in which he is studyin ...!!!....in that case his no. of posts doesnt matter!

2. if the user is from the mod gang or editosaurasus(to hell with spelling here ) or admin then he will hv ten balls under his name..!!!

This year (CAT05) onwards, IIMs have started asking for relevant proof (Bonafide certificate from college to certify that XYZ is in a final year / Graduation Certificate). Hence not possible for 3rd year students to apply.

Well i believe it was possible till CAT'04 for pre final year people to appear for the exam. but since CAT'05 there is a compulsory attachment required along with ur application which has to be signed by ur college authority that u r in the final year of ur college and for people who had passed out had to attach a photocopy of their degree certi. So my guess is the only way u get ur hands on the CAT paper in ur third year is if u get it from someone who actually gave CAT.
