I am Mr. M, an engineer working with Larsen & Toubro Ltd. since the last year and a half as a Sales cum Marketing Executive. I have completed my degree from GCOEP (Govt. College of Engg. Pune) in Elctronics and Telecom . This has been my second attempt at cracking CAT. Had got 95.5 last year with an abysmal 77 tile in quant. Hope to do much better this time. Also have given IIFT and JMET....and will be giving XAT and FMS too.

If a retail organisation wants to enter into any city, how will they make a decision re:
a) Whether to enter into a city or not?
b) If yes, then how many stores and in what location?

I am in the process of developing a retail model which can be used for any organisation wanting to enter into any city to set up retail outlets and am looking for some broad parameters / check list, etc which they can adopt - like demographics, competitors etc - think macro for part (a) and micro for part (b).

I have alot of insights on the Indian Retail Industry and where its at - at the moment, and I would be happy to share it with anyone so lets have a healthy exchange of info here so that it benefits all.

The CAT Story..... CAT 2006 was the first time I wrote CAT.... English had been my weakness, did prove to be my weakness in CAT 2006 .. But I definately wanna make that my strength in 2007... looking forward to CAT 2007 ... Its only the IIM's .. I'm looking for...Coz I think this is the last time to make an impression of who u are and what ur made of ? ....
