Currently pursuing b.tech(comp science)..in 7th sem nw...n wd be appearing for cat 2012, this being my first attempt.
I've planned to appear for it this year and if won't do well then next year again. For the time being, I'm only practicing questions from various websites and the books provided by d coaching center ive joined...but i am not happy with my performance.
Looking forward to meet people who can guide me through this journey.
I have many doubts..would be checking out the forums for that.
Would be grateful if anyone can suggest me a good study schedule..and can also tell me how to cope up...like important topics and all..

Start with Mathematics basics as CAT Quant is very different then Engineering Mathematics that you study. So, get yourself either NCERT IX,X,XI Mathematics book/QA by Arun Sharma/ Nishit Sinha/Arihant. Start with any1 & not all.

Start reading The Hindu Editorial, couple of Business Magazine like Outlook Business/Business Today/Businessworld so you get familiar with terms, read novels, maintain a dairy wherein you can note new words & their meaning & learn them & try to use them in conversation if possible.

For DI/LR get yourself DI/LR by Arun Sharma. In your final year enrol for MockCATs. Also, keep checking various threads on PG for Quant, DI, LR, VA etc for queries & practicing new questions.

Hey found my self so lucky that i got selected for Praxis Business School Kolkata.
We have started with our induction here, and its great.Faculty here is so good.

Hey everyone! This is Aashu. I am currently in the fifth and final year of my IDD at IIT (BHU), Varanasi. I am taking the CAT to keep my options open. Taking things slow at the moment, but (hopefully) will get more serious as the test date looms closer. I love reading...big Hitchens fan! If I were not studying for an engineering degree, I would most probably be enrolled in a Psychology class (my mother is a professor of Psychology), or maybe History of English Literature (my father majored in it). I love travelling, mostly alone. But I don't mind company :)

Hi Guys, I am Hasan from Delhi. Pursued B.E in Computer science in 2011. Joined a company recently. Have a dream of going to the any of the Best B schools of the country. Appeared for CAT last time and secured merely 83%ile. Looking forward to taking the CAT seriously this year. My strength is QA & VA. However, I really need to work on my Di & Reasoning. Had joined Time earlier. Planning to work on my own this time. Where should I kickstart my prep??
There is, however, thorns on my way as well. I have secured merely 58.2% in my 12th and 77% and 71% in 10th and B.E respectively. What are the odds in favour of I landing in a good B.School, given that, if I manage to secure around 95%ile in CAT??
