Hi Swagat,

I don't say that work ex doesn't count.. Yes it counts, but once u get a work ex, it becomes ur need to crack CAT in a way that u get an A grade college, else u would land up nowhere.. Coz having a good salary, once u start earning, u would not luv to get into such college, from where, u would get a placement, in which an organization offers u either the same salary package or less.. And, in case, u manage to get a good college, and been offered a good package, then it's pretty good for ur growth.. It's not the case that freshers are not being entertained, instead they are.. My suggestion to you is that, if u get a good college this time, just don't wait for work ex, rather go for it, coz who knows, once u get into the job, u would get time for ur studies or not (the situation I am going thru, I have to take out time to study).. Im working towards submitting my MBA apps this year. The schools I'm targeting are Insead, Kellogg, Stanford. I will be getting one of the recommendations from the MD (who I report to directly).

For the 4th school in my list - I'm confused if I should look at a European school (HEC, IE, ESSEC) or another US school (Dartmouth, Berkeley, Booth).

Looking at the future, my focus is more on Marketing, General mgmt and Entrepreneurship (not on finance or consulting).

Please let me know if you have an opinion on this which can help :)

Im personally referring to Manhattan Prep GMAT Sentence Correction guide. I liked the material in it. Besides that you could refer to Kaplan Verbal Foundations(For a briefer overview of GMAT grammar) or Wren and Martin (For an in-depth preparation). Good Luck.

I am very much worried about the selection procedure as i am from Arts background. I had BIOLOGY in std 12. I just want to know does my profile suit for health care management?

I guess the doctors and B.sc people could apply for heath care and hospital management. Being an arts student in my graduation, can I apply for healthcare? Can any one help me with this?

I am rocky25. Last night i finally figured out that i need to do a full-time MBA and then stumbled upon pagalguy.com...(nice mix of sane & insane).
I have done M.A in History from Hindu. Also done the odd computer courses (Multimedia not programming), for a time i was working in the computer industry as an e-learning consultant (just a fad word). Then left all that and concentrated on dad's business. Now it's finally wound up. Joined the site to get some insight into preparing for MBA. Targets FMS or IMT-GHB.
Also, i wanted inputs from you guys whether i with an arts degree ...which by now is ages old.... can make MBA work? And where should i start?
