you can make it more flexible by adding an option to go to any question rather than only the unattempted ones.

Anyway, The prep thing is really great!

You can go to any Question.'Next Unanswered Question' means the question not attempted by you.There is no effect if other users attempted it or not.

Prep is really an innovative start from the pagalguy.

As the database of questions increase we might face issue in refining them.

some suggestions to pg:
1) add some more topics and refine the categories.
2) sometimes its really difficult to answer few questions and if no solution is posted then it becomes a waste question. So better to look into questions where no solution is posted in 1 week time.

Solutions were not provided by default.Users attempt the questions and post their solutions.
After any attempt, how to know your question is right or wrong??? See Screenshot below:-

Greetings of the day !

As so many puys have already said ,this is a great initiative.
Thanks a ton to all the team members who have prepared this awesome application .

Here are some suggestions, which I feel if dealt with than it would be more beneficial.

1) Keep one option like " save as a bookmark " so we can come to the question at any point of time. So it would be like personalised repertoire of questions .It would be of great help. Right now career launcher is providing such kind of service for their test series and sectionals. And It's immensly helpful. I am not suggesting to exactly imitate them ,but the idea is good.

2) I went through the questions of QA.I find some of the questions have wrong answers. And since last 2 days as the questions are increasing ,the error has also been increased propotionately( My obesevation ).

So I feel Assign moderators for QA,VA, and DI-LR ,as the same way you are already managing forums . The number of mods can vary depend upon the pace at which users are posting questions .

Else it's going to be same like Arun Sharma, which is the best book for QA(my personal opinion) but due to erratic nature ,it hasn't got the desrved suceess.

3) Apart from the questions in 3 individual sections , somehing like Concepts and then questions on that concept.

As,there exists a tons of useful concepts scattered all over the forums, It would be great if a team can compile them and present them in more interactive manner ,same way like PREP.

P.S. Above mentioned suggestions are solely my personal opinions, I didnt mean to criticize. In fact I loved it .

Hey Apurv and the entire entire team of PG out there..thanks a ton for this! Finally we have an interactive one stop shop for everything that matters in CAT.

Just had a small concern though: Can the new questions be moderated before upload by making it mandatory that users submit questions with explanatory answers? Self confidence takes a hit in case of questions wherein opinions are split between the options for the correct alternative - and in the current set up, there is really no sure shot way of figuring out who is actually right.

hey mods,whn I look at solutions submitted by others(talkingabout prep section only) there is some points mentioned besides their solutions like 1 or 2.but I've submitted many solutions and till date always got a ZERO at its side. what is this point. and why I'm not getting thm fr my solutions?

One suggestion to the developers: Whenever we submit an answer, whole page gets reloaded but the scroll is at the top and so we would have to scroll down for every question to see if the answer is right or wrong, it is a little irritating. Please don't get me wrong and interpret as "student hai, aur scroll karne ko bhi kitna nakhre dekho" it is not that.

I wud like to draw a point towards one of my concerns abt Prep platform launched at PG

In QA, DI , LR , we cud arrive at the solution as those have a concrete solution , or we cud trust the polling too ..

But what happens in VA is not many wud agree to a point and different people have diff opinions ,
Also as general mass have a problem in VA so poll results also cud no be trust ,

So , Ppl continiously post ans (of there opinions ) and add commont , But we are not able to arrive at final solution to the Question , which eventually does not help .

This cud also be interpreted by the different Keys released by the diff prestigious institutes .

So , what I wud suggest is the ans shud be upploded with the questions "OF VA" .
and after a particular student attempts a question , after say 1 hr he shud recieve the ans if he checks the same question on PREP.

I have Kept 1 Hr as buffer so that , in the mean time he cud think why his ans diiferent from the poll results , what cud be the possibilities ..of making a correct ans ..
So , this way his analytical ability In VA wud also increase with the advantage that now he wud be knowing , what is exactly the correct ans , and can learn from it and move forward.

Please Reply In case of ant concerns .
And I guess that was a Long PM , but analysis was imp for making My point .

May be you can provide an option of Bookmarking the Question.. This will help the person to view only a set of question later for revision, rather than going thru each n evry question..

Pagalguy Prep is an awesome tool....was wondering on how to make distictions between questions for SNAP, MAT, CET etc....is there any way of selecting questions for difficulty level pertaining with the mentioned tests....:)

Just as my updates tracks the questions answered by me. I think it would be cool if there is an option to track the questions submitted by me:)

you should also post the marks scored among no. of attempts and the percentile score among current users

in the topic section , the page numbers are there only at the bottom of the page..

if possible , pls keep the page numbers at the top of the page to.. i have attached the snapshot of modification .. kindly change it if possible .. its really difficult scroll all time

Just one suggestion - We should get the correct answers for a caselet only after attempting all the questions in the caselet because currently, after attempting only the initial questions, we get to know whether we are going in the reight direction or not.

First of all thanks to the entire PG team for bringing out such a wonderful tool for all the CAT aspirants.

The tool is indeed very helpful especially its segragation in respective topics.

Here, I would like to mention that under the VA section if you add under subsection for incorrect sentences/correct sentences type of questions..it would be very helpful...I personal find such questions very vexing..if this part is added..it will help me and several others facing problem with these questions..:)

how can i get to know which question is uploaded at last?
Do we have anything like rss feed?
otherwise UI is smooth n slick.......n classification of verbal quant n di is nice.....

Some suggestions ::
1.book marking Q wud help the students a great deed !
2. Ratings should be disabled for Qs ! It gives an Idea of the difficulty level of Q !
One doesnt give much thought to a lower rated Q and feels the option he is choosin is the correct one (as the Q is a sitter) which might be the correct option as well .
all in all a nice initiative !! PG rocks !!

Working fine while answering as well as posting a solution. I am also using FF 3.5.3.

Try clearing cache/cookies of your browser. It should work.

its a gr8 initiative.i wanted to know if we can view the questions we GOT WRONG AGAIN without going thru all questions and checking whether it was write or wrong?

Some more ideas

1) The prep home can display the number of unanswered questions in each section.

2) 156 users attempted it "and 68 got it right" Text in quote and bold should not be displayed in the section page for unanswered question. It sets an expectation from the question. (Stars or Rating works differently coz there are no statistics )

3) Filter (or sort) questions by rating and attempted status (not attempted/correct/incorrect/not answered (see point 4))in sections page.

4) The should be an option to mark "Not Answering" in the options (something like not attempting the question), so that I can view the Answer/solutions/comments without marking any answer for the question i don't understand or can't calculate. Will save the trouble of marking wrong option (or correct option accidentally) and skewing the data.

Ahh.. and that chess king and pawn is based on the relative strength in the section, based on attempts and/or accuracy.

BTW the more I am using it, the more I am falling in love with it.

This is debatable. I like the the idea that each question is separate so that i can follow the discussion, if i want to. If multiple questions are given, then the situation is no better than a forum

I'll request u to include all good questions(there r hardly any bad ones) from the various dream teams threads frm 06 to 09.sounds a tough skimming n scanning work but a consortium of the very best questions frm the very best minds in cat prep will definitely help us immensely .

Also,it would be great if the detailed solutions r provided along with the questions n that would be easier if questions r included frm various threads which almost seem like present frm eternity

It would not be far if we could in the very near future see a coaching institute frm u wid the few highly talented pg users who have made it big to be seen as future guest lectureres :)

I beg to differ. I'm also using FF 3.5.3 but i've always got a reply that my report's been submitted. It comes at the same place where the report's to be submitted. No error. Check again.

Keep on with the feedback folks. We will be working on building prep every week until it is the best app for the junta. Any feature additions, subtractions, confusions, ideas - let us know.

We will work to make prep social in the next few rounds of iterations so that you can know how you did, your friends did and more.

Ok I ll be honest here ... I thought that with the pace with which new website for CAT preparation is coming up PAGALGUY will lose its popularity. Even my visits to this site has come down. But seems PAGALGUY have come up with new idea and things seems to going again in their way.

Well I have some suggestions . Well most of them have been going on in thread format . But If things are done formally then the site will have a better structure to browse the topics according to their needs..
1. Most Imp feature of adding and removing a question to bookmark is missing.
2. Score List of Individual User. Keep track of right and wrong Ans given by a user. (Which could be used to judge performance by an individual or Which could be shown in his profile if he wishes to)
3. Keep a check on questions in each topic, so as similar questions are not repeated.
4. Adding REPUTATION to users who provides good Questions or Good explanation to a Question. (Reward system :biggrin:)
5. Have All India Mocks arranged once a week.

Now since u have a platform arranging above features will be just a matter of time.

:thumbsup: SOME DAILY ACTIVITIES

1. Have one funda everyday as "FUNDA of the Day". (and let ppl put up their idea , problem and solution on the same)
2. Daily "Word List" and "Idiom of the Day" .
3. Have a "Daily Sectional Tests"(helpfully full length) with each individual gets a percentile . (May be its to much to ask for)
4. One more thing that dose not come very easily to us Indian is English grammar . May be a Grammar FUNDA a day with help us to gradually build sound grammar knowledge. Cause it takes time to assimilate grammar Fundas and it can only happen over a period of time and not in a month or so like Quant and DI.

Waiting to see how many of my ideas materializes .
Its purely for my personal interest.
