The National Marketing Conference on Innovative
Trends in Marketing in the New Millennium was a grand success. Speaking
on the immense potential of innovative marketing, Chief Guest Mr Sanjiva S. Dubey (Executive, Asia Pacific Region - IBM) iterated
the importance of treating each customer as an individual and the growing
significance of social networking and word-of-mouth marketing. Dr.
Mithileshwar Jha of IIM-B, while delivering the keynote address talked about the need
for delivering value through value creation and value sensing. He stressed on
the need for innovation through creativity, commerce and sustainability quoting
the examples of Arvind Eyecare Hospitals and Narayana Hrudayalaya. Technical sessions were handled by Dr.
S. Neelamegham, Former Dean - FMS Delhi, Mr Puneet Modhgil, Director of
Marketing – Microsoft India, Mr. Shubham Garg, Senior Digital Planner – Madison
Communication, Prof. Ashok Pratap Arora from MDI Gurgaon, Mr. Vishal Sehgal,
Head – Corporate Relations, METRO Cash and Carry, India, Mr. Satish Srivastava,
Senior Marketing Manager – PricewaterhouseCoopers, India and Mr. Aditya
Chakravarthi, Anthelio Business Technologies and covered
various aspects like new media marketing trends, rebranding, authenticity of
advertisement, future of mobile and digital marketing and customer engagement.
