So then it's almost all over today for we second years. It's been a wonderful two year journey nevertheless. For someone who's been following this thread for two years, it's a pain to realize that we wouldn't be a part of it anymore! Sights of friends taking photographs all around the campus and planning for their last trips together are not uncommon.. Our life @ SIMSR is drawing to a close. But not before some hard ing with some good friends whom this wonderful campus gave us!

Okaie this is coming a day late but it truly deserves a mention. An amazing women's day celebration not just in SIMSR, but entire Somaiya Vidyavihar.

3rd trimester in SIMSR and now V(IB students) understand perfectly "You need to raise the bar"!!!! ... Dear "External Environment" please do not change at this rate.. we have to really work hard to keep up..

So finally End term exam fever is over yesterday....
I can see the happy faces of my batch mates partying hard in this beautiful city ...and Yes, we have finished our five out of six trisem and also attented the first very lecture of our very own Prof. CPJ today only.
In noon session, we had a group photo of PGDM-IB 2011-2013 as five of our batch mates are going to Nyenrode Business University, Netherlands under student exchange program.
I wish them all the best for their future endevours.

Eagerly waiting for DARE TO CARE 2013; a musical event to be organised by Rockerzz Group (An initiative of Part-time students) and Enactus Somaiya Social Cell in association with Child of God Foundation to create an awareness on Child Abuse featuring World renowned guitarist Dr. Benny Prasad.

Global Marketing Conference is all set to begin..A must attend..Loads of info and knowledge coming our way..

Also Sports season is on..Best of luck to our participants..We hope for more trophys this season..

The Last one week has been simply splendid @SIMSR ! To start with, we all had our mid term exams done and dusted and then had a package of events.

got to interact with some great people from entertainment industry !!!!!.....never expected this in a b school......had lots of fun!!!!

It was a hectic weekend for SIMSRites... Three events had taken place with illustrious personalities from the industry gracing the institute with their presence and sharing inputs and ideas from their rich experience.

Ahh !! It has been long time since i have posted something in this thread. Nevertheless, I am writing this post in between mid term of 5 th trisem :D

Finally posted in PG after a looooonnngggg time .... don't know what was keeping me busy all this while ... or may be I have become too lazy..

Here, It is my first post after joining the SIMSR again .
In last two week, I have interacted with many juniors from batch 2012-2014. I am pretty much sure that the new lot is good and they will certainly carry our legacy forward.
With the best buddies from our IB batch , my life at SIMSR and in hostel is going well. :)
. We had summer internship presentation yesterday and the Summer internship fiasco is already over.
As all of us know that our placement session is due to start in upcoming month. I am hoping for the best for myself as well as for my batch mates.
Keep watching the space for updates.

Welcome to all....:After 2 months of complete silence, we are back from our summer internship/holidays;)...and here profs were ready to gun us down with 'n' no. of projects and assignments(actually i don't count, it hurts..:shock:). With time SIMSR moved on with 2010-12 batch left to make their mark in the corporate world:cheers: and many new faces (2012-14) joined to be a part of Life@ SIMSR...Hoping some ice breaking session soon..For us next 1 year will be action packed with new addition of placement season...Hoping for the best...Keep writing, keep watching this space for more updates about Life@ SIMSR..

Also i wanted to ask....its rather a silly question but are student able to download stuff from the internet ?

Guys apart from diwali when do the mms course people get holidays ?
And thank.u for this thread....helped a lot in knowing about the college and the people in it

Oh yes, one whole year is gone in a jiffy! :(

I was one of the last to leave the SIMSR hostel and it was so silent without the constant buzz and music.. Quite the way it looked when I entered the institute - I was among the first few to reach the college.. It felt a little nostalgic..

Still in disbelief that an year has gone by.. Lot of adventures and new experiences.. Of course a B-school is all about those.. Waiting for more in the next year.. Am sure there are more experiences awaiting us.. Can't wait for July 2

On my first day, It looked like everything is running fast in Mumbai be it people or transports:shocked:. I thought vada-pav is the best breakfast while running. But the thing which ran fastest for all of us here at SIMSR was time. It seems like we just came to SIMSR but Gosh !!! its one whole year now.

Lot has happened in past one year. We made new friends, got some memorable teachers (what say guys..), celebrated birthdays with bang, chatted on some irrelevant issues ( or say out of our control ) whole night, cribbed for guest lectures and sleepless nights, slept in classes with eyes wide open, faced the hail storm of assignments and exams and competed for summer placements.

Next year will be more adventurous as we will be seniors giving advice on something or other to juniors, lot more classes, zillions of assignment, competing for final placements and much more.

Best wishes to every one for summer internship.
