This has been the longest break between my posts on this thread... Unlike previous occasions this time exams were not the culprit. It was the extra free time offered in Sem2 that needs to be blamed for this laziness.

Anyway it was an awesome sem 2 to say the least after an excruciating and rigorous sem 1 ...
So if you ask me how has been the last 3 months I just have 2 words: F*** awesome!! Both academically and other wise too. Admissions (Oh it was something!!), a fantabulous goa trip:drinking:, a rural project, a month of non-stop FCQs and now end term! That was easily put in a sentence ď Š. Admissions was and always is a different kind of experience looked forward to by all the students. But for me it was another reason to look forward too, a chance to head out to the sweet (or should I say salty) waters off Goan cost. It was a well thought out vacation due for some time now!! And admissions was just a reason for the same. That doesnt mean that I was not a part of admissions at all. As usual I was dedicated to PG and still am even when admissions team is missing in action since the merit list came out: P :lookround:. Since it was being conducted for the first time in our campus gotta say it was very professionally carried out as usual! Hats off to admissions team for the same.
But for me the 4 days in Goa mattered a lot more. Awesome days. Just an overnight journey by bus from Pune. Have been there many times before but this is the first time that it has been sooo mesmerizing and is still lingering in my thoughts. I dono why I am love with the sea so much, may be it is due to the fact that I am coming from a coastal city dotted with some of the world famous beaches or rather, everyone loves beaches!! Whatever be it the bike rides, the paragliding sessions, relaxing in the cool water watching the sun go down in front of us were some of the memories that one would never forget in his trip to Goa. How can one miss the now famous DCH fort??

It might be one of those unique features of Goa, the bike ride that captures the mind and heart of all the tourist so much. The feeling of cold water kissing your toes is something that anyone would cherish on his/her trip to any beach even if its not Goa.
If you ask me what is that one thing that I miss in Pune so much then I would say its a good beach!

Talking of Pune reminds me of two of the great restaurants that I had checked out during the last few months. Dont miss out the special Nachos from 11 East Street and the Dum aloo from Curry on the roof near Law college rd. Sorry to disappoint the non veggies, I am not one

But still have heard rave reviews about non veg at Curry on the roof. Having said that our college area, Hinjewadi, itself is dotted with many good restaurants of all standards and range suiting every ones pocket! That is one big advantage that I have felt being at HRD. Unlike other famous MBA colleges based out of Pune we have total access to city all the time (Thanks to a great bus schedule) and some good eat out options nearby itself to indulge ourselves whenever we feel bored about our mess food. But then in true MBA students spirit we end up spending our evenings at the nearby tapris sipping chaya and biting into vada paav. Who toh alag si baat hi hai!! Suits our pocket as well ;)

Exams are now a part of our day to day life these days. So its no more a surprise anymore! Almost managed to get my first backlog in my life in an internal exam. Lucky me just scrapped through!!

But this time, end term are even more fun. At least in last sem the huge number of exams were an intimidating factor but since this time it has fallen down to 13(naice no. ah?) we have become more lazy than ever. Starting preps for exams on the night before the exams is no more an accident but a habit

. Hoping to clear all papers as usual (KFC: Keeping fingers crossed). ANd yeah I got a Univ xam tomo :). As I always maintain
Marks mein kya rekha hai?? Gyan badaoo. Reminds me of an old saying of a friend of mine
Aaj tak padayi karke koi bada aadmi nahi bana who was with me during my engineering college days. True to his spirit he took 5 years to complete engi when everyone else took 4:drinking:, was the biggest contributor to univ exams fund every semester. But the bugger ended up in IIM-L after that

.. But then again he proved all of us wrong by clearing the 2 years course in 3 years ;), which he calls as a strategic move to counter recession by not graduating in 2010(in the midst of recession). ROFL!!
Speaking of IIMs reminds me of the IIM-C visit that I had made in Jan as a part of an International event held there. Gotta say it was a HUGE campus. Really in the bosom of nature. Our campus is nothing in front of its campus. But still moi college is moi college

!! Now I know where the tax payers money is going!!! It was huge for sure ,but was so damn far away from the city. Even now its like a pakka rural area. Wonder what sort of a jungle it would have been when it started 50 years back!!But then hey IIMs are IIms. Just to wind off we did manage to win the International finals of a branding event, beating 500+ teams including IIMs and the lot!!! Thanks to SCMHRD for that.

Getting addicted to the midnight Maggi service from the
Wipro tapri these days! Four-five people fighting for two plates of Maggi, sharing all the gossips at 4 AM in the morning is something worth
studying for I would say:lookround:. Lending out your bike to your friend to take his crush for a bike ride, giving free advices abt life and love(of course) to the
kutti pappas (read small kidos) in your batch , learning to make presentation with
deltas(I can already see what the next post from my frnds will be:lookround:), learning abt 4X4 drives(!) and then pulling their legs using the same topic, getting tons of gyan from seniors, life hasnt been all that bad all the way. Gotta give credit to the batch, an awesome one indeed! These will be days most cherished by anyone after college I hope. Everyone in college will have something or other like this, I am sure!
It started as a super tight first two months in June with ones parents, girlfriend/ boyfriend cribbing about SCMHRDs tight schedule and is ending on an all-time high with some awesome memories in first year which we will cherish for the rest of our lives. People said HRD will make a bad son/daughter/ boyfriend / girlfriend out of you and it did try its level best

: to do so.. As we bid farewell to our seniors and start on a new journey with our summers beginning in a few weeks time, we are as circumspect as the juniors joining our college next year. But I am pretty sure we will come out with flying colors in true SCMHRD sprit! The fighting spirit. Happy summers everyone
