hello everybody,

Well as the celebrations on campus on account of Praxis Business School's victory over IIMC seems to subside (it feels gr8 to have overcome them with utmost ease in the ET quiz held at the Xavier's audi; especially after the last few results in quizzes and debates where teams form IIMC managed to edge us out at the very last minute), we get back to our regular schedule. so to start with, we had presentations in consumer behaviour (for PGP-II) students where students in groups of five came out with the implications of Martin Fishben's model of 'muti-attribute attitude' for the respective brands that they were assigned with. the best part in praxis is to sit through these presentations which clearly reflect the kind of effort that the faculty puts in during the classes (Mr. Anindra Halder in this case) ...the presentations and the discussions that followed helped us seek clarity on a model that seems to be critical in attaining juris-prudence while judging consumer behaviour...and to folllow it, we have the much awaited class from Dr. Samal (adjunct faculty of XIMB), who continues to amaze us with his grasp on topics related to accounting (Finanacial & Cost and Management), Business and Company Law and now Economic Legislation (Income Tax). and the class always has to be on its toe for his surprise quizzes can really surprise students not just on the timing front but also on the depth of understanding that the questions seek.

oh yes....by the way, we have a business quiz scheduled this evening by none other than the ones who orchestrated our vistory in the ET quiz (Saurav Jalan and Sahill Shaha)...and the very nature of Praxis and the students of not resting on the laurels shall make it sure that we have such host of events to gear our quizzers and debaters for the much coveted tag of 'Champions' in the BT Acumen (incidentally the debating team of IIMC managed to just edge us out during the regional finals of 2007-08;so unfinished business still lurks on that front!).

KHOJ 13 - the annual cultural event of @Praxis.B.School is over. The theme given to all houses was "The Power of ONE" .
The best part I liked about this event is that both the batches participated together unlike Rangmanch.
The skits were brilliantly scripted and executed well by all.

KHOJ 13 - the annual cultural event of @Praxis.B.School is over.

The theme given to all houses was "The Power of ONE" .
The best part I liked about this event is that both the batches participated together unlike Rangmanch.

The skits were brilliantly scripted and executed well by all.

Ujjaini was first to go on stage. Their skit, titled, “Learning in Disguise” was based on a college going female, who is embarrassed in the society when her boy friend makes an MMS of her and it portrayed her struggle against the society to win the best student award in the college. The acting was immensely touching and there was an aesthetic display of emotion.

Takshshila was next with their “Corporate Ramayana” . The play started and everyone played their roles to the hilt and remembered their dialogues. The play ends with Raavan winning by the vote of Sita, which stunned everyone on and off the stage. It had a plethora of humor with the acting of Hanuman and catchy dialogue.

The last skit was from Nalanda titled, “Where are you?” which enacted the story of a man who was an eye-witness to the Delhi rape case and the internal struggles he overcomes to come forth and reveal the names to the police. The play was characterized by very realistic acting.

Next was dance performances by every house.All the houses tried to stick to the theme and executed it to the best of their abilities.

Ujjaini were the first to perform here. They displayed the unity in diversity of India as the theme for power of one.

Takshshila represented how the problem of unemployment brings the youth together.

Nalanda showcased the power of one in two parts. The first part showcased the power of Mahatma Gandhi and his teachings of non violence and the power of a mother in the second part.

So coming to the results, after adding up all the scores of all the house activities Takshshila won this year again

(3rd time in a row) and Nalanda house was runners up.

These cultural events serve as a great stress buster when you have a week long class with loads of submissions and presentations to make.

We all including all the faculty members enjoyed the evening a lot and many of us had myriad of emotions as this was the last event with our seniors

before the farewell party.
