I am happy with the college the environment to nurture all the students even the faculty is very cooperating and helpful. Extra co curricular activities takes place every now and then its a good place to be associated with.

We have E-cell club in our college with privides base for the young and idealistic entreprenuers who wants to start their own business and make a mark out by themselves.

E-Cell organized a flash mob at our campus.

FLASH MOB- Its kind of casual dancing where people standing in the crowd start to dance on the music playing. People come in randomly and the dance group grows and grows.

It was great fun to be a part of the flash mob as we all enjoyed the the dance and also applauded by the onlookers. Great experince!!

Iam happy with placement committee in our college it is the most active & important part of our institution , i would like to share my experience on live projects coming in our campus , this is the perfect way of making student familiar with the work culture in the corporate . Iam doing my live project in kelly services as a H.R generalist here i learn lot of valuable things which will help me in building a better future it also adds up to your resume which makes you bit experienced and not a fresher. With the attitude of learning and keeping your antenna open to everything you come across prepares you for fruitfull oportunities in future .

@lekshmi_lsn IILM CMS and GSM are almost at par, and as far as placement is concerned there isn't much difference but IILM GSM has a better record.

cn sum1 tell me abt the difference btwn iilm cms and iilm gbs? which cud b a better option, especially wen cuming towards the placements side?

Also, today, 6th of october, 2012, we had a Finance club quiz, where we had competition between our batch and the senior batch, where we had all sorts of finance related questions, where we had so much of fun and learning.

Also we had a game of stock trading, where we simulated the stock market, which company's share to buy and sell looking upon the conditions of the market.

It was great experience, how stock trading works.

Today, 6th of october,2012, a guest lecture was held, and the esteemed person is Mr. Divaynakar Goel, AGM Grasim Industries, consumer product division, Aditya Birla group.

Mr. Goel has worked in Philips, Mobil and now currently working in grasim Industries, consumer product division is an IMT, Ghaziabad pass-out and specialised in marketing.

He shared his experiences about how he stepped into the corporate world and gave us advice on how to effectively crack interviews and do and don't on CV writing. He gave us an in-dept view of his current work and how his industry functions and connections to the global economy. He told us about the currently luanched product " Kara wipes" which is refreshing tissue paper wipes for the premium market. This product in a short span of time become popular in Indian market and also exported to US and europe. This product complies to world standards.

He told us about the uncertanities of the market and how to counter those uncertanities in an effective manner.

All in all it was an enlightining experience.

Joined IILM GSM Greater Noida this year only... 2012-14 batch in PGDM-marketing management. In my words, this college is worth for those people who want to be successfull in life. As a person, as a manager, as a leader. I have made many "good" friends which in such short span have become lifeline.

The infrastucture is good, well built, well maintained. Importantly, the faculty is good, can clear your doubts, questions and there's a personal attention to each and every student through mentorship. You can visit your mentor a.k.a your alloted professor anytime in the college hours in their various cabins and clear all your doubts. Even you can do that over the phone as their is no restriction for that. You can call any professor in a timespan, they surely help, as i have done that a lot.

In our college, their is SCOP Team which help the students to effectively crack interviews, arrange interviews with some of the very reputed companies, these people also provide industrial visits which helps us students to learn about how the particular industry operates, which gives us in-depth knowledge of the know-hows.They also provide guest lectures from very experienced people in thier fields and meeting these people is kind of honour for us.Also they provide us with live projects which gives the prior experience how the companies actually employ and give us work according to our specializations.I have done a live project in "CMAI Association of India" which basically made us to do surveys around Delhi/NCR about the which company in cell phone industry has the most penetration in the market. In this i learned hows the marketing system works as i am a marketing student.

Besides curriculum, we have various clubs ranging from IT, finance, Film and media, scholastic, Research and analysis, sports etc to name a few. Activities are organized by these clubs from time to time which keeps us engaged in some way or the other.

From my personal point of view i like to go to college every single day,attend classes, Sit in the cafeteria, have food their, chit chat with friends, in short have a great time and experience.

life at iilm is treating me well ...........the best part i found here is the mentorship system they have here, as the strong incredible bond of mentor and mentee makes you feel comfortable when you come out from your protected shell (home ).....your mentor is like your parent here who supports and encourages you to be perfect in both personal nd professional life. They are always there to encourgae your work and solve all your queries. We are so occupied with the events of different clubs which adds a little spice to our monotonus routine and this also helps us to know people around us at this new place and bring everyone close whether they are our batchmates, seniors & faculty members and all of them are very supportive. I'm more than happy to be in IILM.

When I was about to join IILM, I had a no. of questions in my mind like what’s going to be environment of the institute and what all am I going to face there, but when I joined the institute the atmosphere of the institute was very welcoming and refreshing . Practical exposure by industrial visits and guest lecturers of the professionals from corporate world made us aware about the future trends of the market and minial chunks of the working atmosphere in the corporate world. Interaction with seniors in the institute is good and helpful for any type of guidance regarding live projects, assessments, presentations etc. Regarding extracurricular activities, there are no. of clubs which organize different kind of events frequently. On an average every week we have one event which is completely recreational for all of us. Sports activities are also there like basket ball, table tennis etc which I am used to play. New ideas are always welcomed by seniors and faculty members. To summarize, the experience of life at iilm is really remarkable for me.

I am a first year student of PGP 2012-14 batch of IILM Gurgaon. It has been more than 2 months for me in this institution and till now my experience has been amazing. The courses follow industry standards and hence academically keep us advanced. With Harvard case studies, presentations, role plays, industrial visits, live projects and workshops on important subjects like investment planning, emotional intelligence, employee engagement, etc it has been a very good learning experience in IILM, so far.

as i know the quality of students at IILM LR campus is very good as they are localities of delhi....and regarding your query related to affiliation don't worry:nono: its not an issue as 11 lakhs was givn highest package to 2 students of IILM of 2010-12 batch sooo...and i guess one of them was from LR campus...:sneaky:

:biggrin:...as per my knowledge both IILM Ggn/LR are recognized by the Joint Committee of UGC+AICTE+DEC....and there is no difference between the placement of IILM LR & Ggn as all the students from both the campuses who apply for a particular company interview process sit togther for the GD/PI process...the only difference between both the campuses i.e., Gurgaon campus infrastructure is bigger than the LR campus & most of the students who are localities or are from Delhi prefer to take admission there....:grin:& regarding placement the average package given to 2010-12 batch was around 3.5 lakhs whereas the no. of students were 600-650...the strength of 2011-13 batch is around 270 students which will increase the avg package to 4-4.5 lakhs.....ollll d very best

:biggrin:for IILM LR/Ggn the new session for 2012-14 MBA batch has started from 25th June/2012....today was the orientation day for the new students where they were given information regarding the college, regarding the curriculum & study material which is going to be provided to them....also each student have been allotted a Mentor ( college faculty/lecturer) & a buddy mentor (senior student) in case they need any help or assistance regarding anything...

:biggrin:...almost a year have been completed for the students of IILM Ggn 2011-13 MBA batch....a year full of learning, getting experience, meeting people & making friends with people of different culture & background.....learning team work & getting to know about how much the competition lies in real world....soo oll d very best to all the existing students as well as to all the new students who have taken admission or about to take admission in IILM....& for new students (IILM provides a great opportunity to every one but it depends upon an individual how he/she identify & grab those opportunities and utilize the available resources).....:grin:

We were receiving a lot of queries whether IGSM is accepting MAT for its PGDM General or not.

I had asked from person concerned about this dilemma and his reply was

IGSM for this year is accepting MAT score for its PGDM - General Program.

Reason - IGSM was getting many candidates who had good overall profile in terms of academics and all round personality but they had appeared in MAT instead of CAT, so this is an opportunity for all of them to 'Apply Now'.

Ask any doubt.

Every now and then, people who are keen to join IILM ask about Placement, Faculties and most importantly name of companies and packages offered. There are n no of famous companies who visit IILM campus every year not only for final placement but for SIP - Summer internship project also. They offer handsome packages (handsome for only those who have realistic expectation), clearly if you're a fresher with no work experience no body will hire you for middle level management (top level management job is far away). A fresher will be hired for lower level management with matching salary package. If you want your package to be high it is experience, quick learning ability, creativity, communication skills, soft skills and many other things that counts.

A lot of good companies have even visited IILM campuses for SIP - Summer Internship Project too naming ICICI, Aditya Birla Money, HDFC, IIFL, Evalueserve, KPMG, BOP, Bajaj Finance and offered stipend too, which is considered as a unprecedented as in finance sector companies hardly offer any stipend and even in marketing scenario is very very good.

It's good to see that you're more concerned about growth prospects. Yes Lodhi Road Campus and Gurgaon Campus are not AICTE approved, but if you're more concerned about AICTE approval you can consider joining IILM GSM, Greater Noida which is AICTE approved and comprises nice faculties, infra, exposure, placement.

yes SIP is important its only way to go beyond the label of the product and know about the product.....

yupp your right because through SIP the students really gets the real exposure of corporate world and how things works out there.....SIP gives you the practical towards something and your right that:biggrin: students came to know about the brand's product from how it is developed, advertised, branded & most importantly how it is sold rather than just the label of the product.....

...as per my knowledge the UG students are very creative & very enthusiastic....i remember there was a event organised by the Marketing Club of IILM Ggn (BRANDROVERS)...the name of the event was "Quest For Best Marketers" where the teams from both UG & PG (MBA students) participated....the UG students came up with very creative ideas.....and even the 1st place was won by the UG students....:biggrin:

A competition on Budget 2012 was held on 29th March 2012 at IILM GGN in which 7 teams of 2 to 3 students each had to choose a particular sector or industry and then compare the pre budget expectations with the actual budget proposals. They also had to assess the macro economic impact of the proposals and give their own view point.

Railways,Agriculture,Aviation, FMCG, Power & Energy, Gold,Services. Mainly on this sectors the Discussion carried forward.

The budget proposal for 2012-13 has been variously described by luminaries from different fields as neither populist nor reformist, realistic, depressingly predictable as well as bold and rational. As to the question why, we hoped to get some answers as the competition progressed.

BUDGET 2012

It is important for the students to keep update themself regarding the changes and developments which are taking place in the economy. IILM Finance Association is organizing an event called "THE BUDGET" on 29 March/2012 where the students have to participate in a team of 2-4 students and have to choose any sector or industry for they have to do an analysis - pre budget and post budget comparison, macro economic impact and have to keep there own view point....
Students from both the campuses IILM Ggn/LR are invited to take part in the event. Overall its a great activity or event where the students get a chance to present there views on an topic & also helps to enhance there knowledge.....

IILM Knowledge Center is organizing a Business Plan Competition: PIONEER2012-13 an initiative of IILM Knowledge Center for students of IILM campuses (Lodhi Road, Gurgaon, , IGSM & CMS Noida) on 26th march at Igsm campus.

Objective: Objective of this business plan competition is "to develop & promote entrepreneurial attitude" among students

the event (Quest For Best Marketer ) organised by the THE Marketing Club of IILM "BRANDROVERS" on 23, march/2012 was a great success. It was a great show because the young energetic team of 1st year BBA students won the event over PG students team there team name was "DEXTREXX" and there product name was "DEXTREXX DIGITAL SHOE".....the unique feature of that shoe was that it have a speedo meter attached with a inclined machine attached to the shoes sole......basically it was a hypothetical product for which they have marketed it very well by performing a skit & also presented & sold to the judges or convinced them to buy there product.....there were many other innovative products presented by the other teams like SWORGANIC product (which was made of organic stuff) & PMT (Peace For Mind Tablets)...overall it was a great event full of fun & innovations....:sneaky:
