Hi guys this is the official notification of ssc for CGL-2012

The Commission shall have the discretion to fix different minimum qualifying standards in each component of the Tier-I Examination taking into consideration among others, category-wise vacancies and category-wise number of candidates. Only those candidates, who have scored above the cut off marks fixed by the Commission would be required to appear in the Tier II Examination.

congrats to rahul and sachislyf for decent attempts with decent expected scores

sorry to hear about accident and exam experience of mayank, but still there is hope as rest 110 were marked right by you. So with 90% accuracy you might get 95 marks and atleast 90+

and cutoff might not go beyond 90 and who knows it can be lesser than that?
before you check by key of ssc and unless tier-1 result is declared till then you should not consider yourself out of tier-2 race.

and puys may be today/earlier one/two set could be comparatively less tougher than other sets of 1st july/8th july but I don't think it can make difference of more than 10 marks in any case in two paper sets and it happens even in exams like CAT, here atleast we have test papers to discuss questions,are provided ans keys by ssc and can represent wrong questions to ssc.

I appeared for cgl on 1st july, what I personally feel is matter is more of hardwork and less of luck. If you prepared well, then no worry of clearing cutoffs and in Tier-2 all will have same shift and probably same paper too, there only who have worked hard will get through tier-2 with good marks
