we all (mostly all) got the posts and states wt we wished for....and ssc chief has done a tremendous job....wud like to touch his feet....made everyone happy not to mention the degree of fairness and transparency he incorporated into the whole process...hats off

I would say plz wait for 2-3 more days so that u can get the write ups and our marks....we would provide u with the best possible picture for filling the form....
bt one thing is sure that ppl shud fill those states in which they wanna go plz dont fill those states in which they dnt want to go and be careful regarding ur preference of posts...a guy filled DA before AEO and inspite of scoring well end up with DA....so be very choosy and crafty in choosing ur states and posts....

Point is if u are using sify test for registrtion, u are not able to view your submitted part-1 appication in link-1 ssc proprietary site.
I also experienced this.

Should be pointed to ssc chief.

I think you can do this. open ssconline.com and use your reg number and password to view status of your application.

I have registered for CGL 2012 for the first time and have no idea whatsoever about the test pattern and this 2 stage exams, can someone please explain ??

Is the test pattern for Tier 1 exam same as that of a Bank PO exam or is it different, What should be my approach for CGL exam ?? If possible, can anyone give some previous year's questions.

Pattern is very simple.Just like Bank po exams .No descriptive is there.
Focus is greater on Modern Maths-Probability,p&c;,Geometry,Numbers .

Now if i compare bank po paper with ssc tier-1 paper which is a huge eliminator.
I remember around 70000 people only sat for tier 2.Tier 1 taken by >8 lakh or far greater.
Paper toughness is very high in tier 1. Try to grab one paper and do it.
Tier -2 paper Maths is again a bit tough not all.
English is walk in the park if u are comfortable with the Grammar as stress is on that
But if want to be in top 500, u have to sweat very high.

Gk is the make or break section.Almost IAS type, and this ruined me in my tier 1 in 2011.I regret this section still.Almost untouchable

The way SSC has allocated the states i have a feeling that abt 20-30% post will remain vacant
