I have to go to Mumbai via flight for medicals.In the meanwhile I sent my request to OAD and asked if I should report for medical and request for extension in person.They said there is no point in wasting time and money coming here for medical , just send a request.On the 11th I again called up OAD and they said your request has been sent to relevant department and no need to come for medicals.Thus I didn't report for medical.

Around 20 guys applied for extension and dey said ki we will get confirmation mail but verbally its fine and you will get extension so u can resign from ur current organisation, u didn't give medical yet?? call me at 9818212430 if you have any query

Bhai mumbai jao and medical kara lo uske baad extension ka form vanhi pe fill karke dena hoga bina medical they will not give extension. If you really intrested to join then aaj hi jao and meidcal karva lo aur extension ke liye applilcation de do extension approv ho jayga

Frankly speaking....the asst manager systems is an interesting post as per my knowledge of SBI...I know some of the people who spend an enjoyable time through their job...

Its basically a support role that the guy has to play...he is engaged in suporting the branches in cases of software failures,link failures and the likes...he wud also be engaged in maintaining the email system and service desk system of sbi in different parts...But the job is a simple one...and u can spend most of your tym enjoying it....Systems guys generally get good metro postings and rarely rural one...But they are unusually busy when they have to set up new branches in the operations department...generally u have to work day and night supervising and setting up systems in rural branches during these periods...but its a rather enjoyable expirience....

It's a strange conundrum. The guy at OAD told me to wait for some communication from them but when I asked what about the reporting date for medicals , he said what can you do , you have to wait. Any other person who asked for extension have you reported for medicals?

The work profile depends on which branch/department you are allocated.Mostly maintainance / DBA type work.The advantages of SBI is not in the job itself.It is a less stressful job giving you plenty of time to do something else eg some other preparation and is a PSU job. Also personally I was hoping for a home posting.

I have received appointment letter for medical examination/joining few days back, but I am presently working and can't join on such a short notice. I have mailed them and ask for extension. So my fingers are crossed lets what's their reply. plus I am pretty confused about joining SBI, as every person I have asked about profile in SBI, no one has given me good response n for everyone the main factor to join SBI is that it is a govt job. So I'll be really thankful if any one could provide me detail about work profile in SBI? plus I want to know from anyone who is joining SBI, what is their main reason to join SBI? Send an email and state your acceptance.Send your hard copy tomorrow and inform them of the same.You can also send a fax.

I also need an extension..yet to finish my final sem xam..

What about food & Lodging arrangement till the final joining...........I don't think SBI have any kind of standby arrangement................why are they are in so hurry after a long wait of 2 months..........are we have to go to fight any battle or what????..................Totally confused!!!!!

I am Kumar Rohit from Patna, selected as AM (systems), yesterday I got my appointment letter at 2:30 P.M. I called in concerned department at Mumbai, they said to me that 15th of May is the common date of joining to you all who have got the mail/harcopy this letter, I am little bit confused that they will either give some time after medical test or give us immediate joining..........................do any body has any idea about it??

I also called at OAD,MUmbai...they also told for immediate joining just after medical and 15 may will be last date for joining those who don't take extension.they told abt extension that it depends on why u r taking extension ? and appointing authority ...
