The RALP is an intense, full-time experience. Once selected for the RALP, you will be an employee of Reliance.

The key factors that distinguish Reliance ALP from regular management trainee programs are:

- The RALP is a very exclusive program. Management trainee programs recruit the best graduating talent in any one year. The RALP will recruit experienced candidates with proven leadership skills across a very wide age band. Your colleagues in this program will be the best talent of the industry.

- Focus on developing candidates for senior leadership roles at Reliance as compared to developing candidates for entry/mid-level roles in other programs.

- In the RALP, you will be accepted into a function at the beginning and will be groomed over two years for leadership in that function. Over time, candidates will move towards taking on senior leadership roles, not limited to their chosen function.

Reliance Industries has launched the Accelerated Leadership Programme (ALP) designed to develop a highly skilled and performance-oriented cadre which will take up very senior positions in the organisation over the next few years.

The ALP, launched very recently, is open to professionals in the age-group of 27-34 and will include talent not only from within Reliance but also from other organisations and across geographies.

In the initial phase, RIL is looking for professionals in the realms of finance (including M&As;), procurement, HR and IT. Later, a select group of professionals would also join through the ALP route for other functions and businesses.

Apart from the age criteria, candidates for the ALP must have an engineering degree or be an MBA or hold any other professional degree, be "highly entrepreneurial or self-driven" and have at least one-year relevant experience in any of the above-mentioned four functions.
