I too was in the bond period when I decided to leave to join NMIMS.
I was asked to pay a bond amount of ~1.5 lakhs.
I had a chat with a senior HR(Finance) guy in Bangalore and he got the bond amount waived off. You need an approval from your delivery manager for that though. But I am sure that the bond would be waived off in case of higher education. You need to provide the college's fee receipt for that though.
So don't worry about that now and try to enjoy your life at Infosys and your CAT preparation to the fullest.

Bond amount in INfy is variable it depends on how much time you spent here.Once you fill resignation they will calculate your bond amount and inform you about it.
They take into consideration how much hours you are logged on since you have joined....the details will me mentioned in your bond agreement
which you will sign on the very first day of joining.

But there is a twist if you want work experience certificate from them then only you need to pay bond amount.Else without experience certf you can leave infy any day...but after that i doubt you can never join infy again as they will black list you.

so think accordingly...take a rough estimate one of my friend left infy after 8-9 months he paid 1.4 lacs.

Nothing to worry bro. You will get a chance to fill the form again on the induction day. Still, I would say, you just tell the mistake you did, to the HR guys on the induction day. They are the best people to guide you on this.
One thing, you definitely need not to worry. Stay calm and discuss your issue with the HRD, after you join.

I am not in a position to give u exact date for offcampus this year
because economy is going through turbulence phase and Infosys is also
feeling it's heat.Being an ex-infoscion and if ur college even comes under some repute institution u can get the privilege of directly contacting HRD through some means or friends.You might get an ouside chance of giving interview if u have relevant work-ex of working in any ERP prior MBA.

infy has postponed the joining dates to 2013 for 2011 recruits... So situation in the market looks gloomy as of now. So its highly unlikely that infy will recruit any further from 2011 batch.

Infosys is a service provider company not a pure consulting and consulting is just a part of it.I m only talking about roles and work offered.There are examples where people being on bench for long were allocated to work which is not related to consulting and it may happen in any company.

Infosys offers Associate consultant for freshers and senior Associate consultant for those having above 3 years of work-ex prior MBA for consulting domain.you will be put in some or other ERP like SAP,Oracle,peoplesoft,Tibco and the work will be focussed on working in tools comes under these vendors.
Growth opportunities are very good and onsite opportunities will depends upon your project and role in it.The role offered by Deloitee is almost same but the work profile could be much better than Infosys as it's mainly focussed on consulting.
There are always good opportunities for switch but going for big 4 and package will depend upon ur technology.

If your CTC is 3.25 and you have scored above 4.5 and have been confirmed with a 'B' band (the most generic case) you would get around 26500/- in hand (approximately 96 % of your salary)
then it also depends on whether you can save close to 1 lakh of your salary in a year or not

Try to negotiate with the manager if you can. Else you can talk to DM also if he obliges.


In worst case you have to buy out the notice period. :)

I have got a support project (Database related ) and would be given morning and regular shifts .

Just wanted to know will it hamper my MBA preperation? if yes what should I do so my preperation doesn't suffer. Moreover I would be working in ODC so , so many restrictions

As long as u can take out some time from ur busy schedule , it should not be a problem. Try to squeeze out 3-4 hours daily for preparation. It should not be a problem i guess. Utilise weekends/holidays/comp-offs as much as for ur preparation.
