Today gave my interview at Lucknow centre.I was the last person to be interviewed here and they just asked me 5 questions?
1.Why a drop in percentages in 2 nd and 3 rd year?I said about my participation in extra curricular activities and low interest in technical things to which he said that you participated in such activities in 2 nd and third year and since you got good marks in practical subjects in final year so you got good marks in final year as a whole.Dhyan they paramatma ji.(The panel chief did not like the fact that I had done a B Tech.He muttered to himself ,"Placements,O Recession." Did not ask me about it though.He was acting like paramatma that he knew everything.)
2.How would B Tech help in Banking?
3.Should banks be merged?
4.How is Indian economy doing?I said it is on a high growth trajectory to which he said that "Should we withdraw stimulus packages?"Told him that before doing so other things must also be kept in consideration.
5.Which things must be kept into consideration before withdrawing stimulus packages?I said Export import sector and the weakening and strengthening of rupee in international monetary scene.He said ,"Thank you now you can go."
It was the most pathetic interview I had ever given in my life.100% REJECTION.

(I replied saying, as an individual, sitting at my desk, I would interact & treat my customers with a high level of duty-bound sincerity, assure that the deposit is in a safe hand, with a decent level of returns, explain the usefulness of savings, thereby gain customer trust, and, by word of mouth, the mobilisation would happen by itself....Don't know if i rambled it up....)
3) Questions about my Education/family/place.

Panel-II(4 poeple-3m+1f. sardarji in centre of the panel)
time-1 pm and my no was 3rd in the 1 pm batch but interview actually started at 6 pm
Panel -2 was slow but Panel-1 was taking interview at fast pace.
My profile - gal+bsc+mca+3yr work ex in a IT comp and currently working.(telling u all as i want your reviews about my interview and was in shocked state after geting interview panel's attitude)

Ist person asked me about balance sheet and bereakpoint which i did n't know and he answered that it is not my fault as i never study economic and finance in my school & colleges.

3. how bank decide base rate
4.about my work profile in the IT company
5.what are public sector, private sector & foreign banks?

I replied above question well
9. Morgan stanley have branch in India ? ...answer of this ques i don't know...
10 and the last one was come as big shock from sardarji- r u not happy with your job ??
11. what is india's current foodgrain quantity ? --don't know
It was my first Po interview....if they want finance person then they should specify in their eligibility criteria...........

1. revise basics of your graduation sunjects
2. revise basics of operating system,database,networking and basic of some programming languages if u have computer as main subject
3. update with current affair specially remember figures
4. one should have gud knowledge of banking,economics and finance whether u have studied them as subject or not

Your answer for Financial Inlusion is good and to the point but as you would see that it does not say why should a profit concerned bank go for financial inclusion (which was the question).

Ans: In the recent times, we have seen that the Micro finance institutions (which lend to the weaker and poorer sections) have been growing at a fast rate in terms of business. Moreover it has been seen that their repayment rations have been to the tune to 96-98% which shows the lack of defaults. Also, financial inclusion would help the banks cater to the largely un-banked areas of the country which have huge potential in terms of growth which all leads to a profitable venture.

Weak English is definitely a drawback. But you can get lucky in few PO exams where there is no English section like Bank of India. Others might only have objective question on English and no descriptive paper. Interview can always be given in Hindi.

But essentially speaking, you must work on your English hard. It might also hamper your chances of promotion later on.

Score depends upon reputation of the bank, number of vacancy, toughness of paper, etc so can not be estimated. In fact, banks never disclose scores at all.

The strategy would be to practice and practice and practice unless you are able to built enough speed to solve 80% of the questions within the time limit with high accuracy.

I did a B.Com degree and we had a subject titled "Fundamentals of Information technology" and thay taught us some basic MS office and other basic stuff related to computers. Any one.. any updates on Bank of India. Someone told me yesterday at Allahabad bank interview that we can expect medical letter by 20th June.

I had given a call to the HR at HQ. One lady picked up the phone and told, we may get call for medical by end of June. Rest all process will be controlled through Zonal Centre like Police Verification and Certificate Verification.

According to me cut-off will go anything around 65% ... as the no. of seats were in handsome amount , same was the case with no. of applicants....
