Hey mariesh...i m from pune...got shortlisted..but didnt get any mail or letter from bse...even no information about date and place of gd/pi.

guys m still waiting for gd pi letter.anyone got call letter who shortlisted from bti-et.i dnt knw how bti giving preferences.der is only 180 students shortlisted from bti-et.and dnt knw abt hw many from cat and cet. yesterday i called bti, dey told me dat dey will select students on d basis of academic score,gd n pi.

Wat do u mean no shortlist for cat score?

"No shortlisting" means if there r 5 candidates in a list, they will call all 5. They wont short the list by calling only 3 or 2. They r calling everyone who have submitted cat scores.

i have submitted CAT score i.e. 93.6. And they will call everyone submitting CAT score.There is no shortlisting.

I have sent email today but no reply has come nor i have recd call letter.
They are not even telling dates for gdpi nor place

I gave a call to bse,and they told me to send me email regarding my gd/pi details....

Bombay stock exchange and IGNOU in collaboration will hand over an MBA degree to the prospective students...
the questions are :
1)what is BTI - ET exam..they ve said it is similar to CAT...
2)ours will be the first course to pass out in 2013..i hope its worthwhile to invest 2years of our life in doing this program coz at the end of it is the placement and the pay packet that actually matters.
3) Cut off scores are not provided at all for any of the Exams like CAT and GMAT...they ve not even supplied a specimen BTI - ET question paper to gauge its level viz a viz the CAT exam.

Somebody form the BSE-IGNOU's corporate interface team should step up to handle the aspirants queries as last date for the exam is march end.

Also I got a bad taste of BTI-IGNOU today. We were asked to attend a seminar at some hotel in chennai after reaching there we found that no one from BSE booked the hotel for seminar, even no one is informed about this. All anxious aspirants were disappointed with this. This shows they are not interested in doing this course!

Those who attanded the seminar and enquire about the the program , response is very negative about this poor program. Staff do not speak about the Faculy and reluctnt to say detail about this program. It is batter to join other Institute.:splat:

"The MBA - Financial Markets is a two year full-time program offered by Bombay Stock Exchange Training Institute Limited in collaboration with Indira Gandhi National Open University to cater to the needs of the fast-growing financial world with a keen focus on financial markets.


Eligibility Criteria
Graduate (10+2+3 or 4) with minimum 50% and 45% for SC/ST candidates from a UGC recognized University.

Selection Criteria
Valid CAT Scores or BTI - ET* scores for Indian students and GMAT scores for International and Non - Resident Indian students. Selected students will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview which will be preceded by a BTI - ET, which is a selection criterion for the next round.
*BTI - ET will follow a format similar to CAT and GMAT and will be held on 27th March, 2011 in all the major metros. Complete list of test centers are available on the Application Form.

The program is associated with IGNOU which is an open university. Does that make a difference? My colleague advised me to avoid doing MBA from open university since it can be mistaken for correspondence course. I am not aware of such a thing. Please clarify.
