My goal is to enter a doctrate program in management in USA.
Currently I am looking to enter a MBA program.
Considering my academic goal and indifference to job placements after a MBA, is the 1 year course in ISB worth considering? I know it is one of the best in India for launching a career. But does it have the same effect on an application for a doctrate course in the USA?
Do the IIMs with their decades of experience and a standard 2 year course score better in this case? IIM does have a specific course for prospective management teachers but I would like to stick to main stream since I am not sure of the effect it would have on USA doctoral programs.
And another query, with ISB putting a lot of weightage on work experience, has IIMs begun following this trend as well? What if a person cracked the CAT, has 5 years of work experience but a second class undergraduate degree? Does such a guy get a call from any of the IIMs?
Edit : Let me make the question easier, which school has more publications in A level journals?
