Had a bad experience with this new version of pagalguy, I had to change my username and my avatar, also it is jumbling and slowing up, I had almost forgot about my interview in this process, I was really missing this place, all people here r helping each other and bringing each one out of there problems even though they have never met each other or even talked to each other verbally leave alone the relation and all that, this is really a great place

Here goes,

The interview (BOB) was on the 4^th of July at 09:00AM (Chennai). Entered the office by 08:30AM and we were promptly asked to take our seats. Many of my fellow candidates also attended BOI interview a month earlier and we had already become friends. Soon we were called in for certificate verification. As I did not have my OBC certificate in the format as prescribed by the bank, I was made to write an undertaking that I would send the same to the head office by the 11^th of July. (I am yet to get the certificate from the Tahsildar’s officeL)

We were then made to wait for our interview turn. Munched some biscuits and had tea, courtesy – BOB. Finally was called in for the interview by 11:00AM.

Interview panel – A lady & 3 gentlemen

The interview was as follows,

G1: So your are from (hometown)? – Yes sir

G1: Are you currently employed? - Told employment details.

G1: Salary? - answered

G1: Why do you want to switch after 6 yrs of employment in the same concern?

Me: Told about recession, banking being a secure and respected field blah blah blah

G2: Banking structure in India? - answered

G1: Alternate delivery channels?

Me: Asked him to elaborate which he did and then I answered correctly

G2: Is transaction through an ATM secure? - Yes sir.

G2: Which one is more secure, Bank or ATM? - Bank sir

G2: Wrong, Nowadays both are secure

Me: Thanked him for the info

L1: (In regional language) What is the height of the Thiruvalluvar statue in Kanyakumari

Me: 133ft

L1: What is so special about July 4? - The US Independence Day

L1: Other than that? - Sorry, I don’t know Mam

L1: Vivekanda Memorial day

Me: Thanked her for the info

L1: Questions about academics - answered

G2: Specialty of your hometown - answered

G2: Role of your hometown in the Indian independence movement – answered

L1: Will you be willing to serve in rural areas – Yes Mam

They then gave their best wishes and I thanked them in return.

Overall the experience was pleasant and the panelists were very friendly. Hoping for the best! ATB to all!

bhai interview attend karo...aur aaj he jake provsional certificate ke liye apply kardo...they will allow you to attend the interview wahan document verification ke time bata dena ki appki university itne jaldi nahi deti degree certificate aur aap ye bol dena ki aap degree certificate at the time of joining submit kar do ge, give undertaking.

At the time of interview provisional degree bhi chalegi...side by side degree k liye apply kar do so dat u have it at the time of joining...

Unfortunately dude degree certificate is must if u have completed graduation before more than one year and for those who completed within past one year provisional certificate or marks memo will be accepted

Guys i met a BOM Clerk 2011 batch today and i ----------------------------- or was it just a special case of his branch??

I completely agree with you, one of my uncles who is a branch manager in BOB had a talk with HR people in Mumbai and said they are more in favour of commerce grads along with some MBA guys who are not from big colleges, they say that these guys have more of a financial knowledge and can do better in banks.

BOB has shown immense attitude.My interview, along with some other engg grads, was no less than a torture. As if, we have not cleared the exam. If a Btech can do mba and then join a bank y can't he join straightaway like any other eligible graduate. My advice--Fill the form for every bank. U neva knw wid dese people!!!

BOB Interview Experience
Time 9:30
I reached at 10 but interview started at 2 PM :shocked::shocked:
3 Panel members (2M + 1F)
M2: Tell me about yourself.
Me: told

M2: Why come to banking?
Me: told but didn't look convinced.

M2: Why not do something in your graduation field, y come here?
Me:told but still didn't look convinced.

M2: There are B.Com and MBA students here who will understand banking better then you.
Me: tried to justify but he was not convinced M2 was adamant to the fact that i was a science graduate and shouldn't join banking :-(

F1: So what are your hobbies?
Me: told

F1: What do you know about BOB.
Me: told

F1: Tell us about the logo of BOB
Me: told

(M2 was asking the same question again and again)
M2: Tell us why we should select you?
Me: told but he said we don't need these qualities for a clerk job :splat:

*M2 asked M1 to ask something*
M1: Tell us about RBI and it's functions.
Me: told

M2: Thats it you can leave, please take some sweets.
I took one then he said "arey aap toh young ho ek se kya hoga aur le lo"so i took one more

Overall this was my worst interview M2 was too adamant he was asking me the same question again and again and i couldn't convince him so no hopes from BOB, now all hopes are on BOI.
