Hi,

I have around 4 yrs of work exp in IT industry on a front office trading system as a developer. My educational background is BE in IT. Now I have been planning to pursue a master's degree lately. I am more inclined towards the MS in Fin. engineering (MSFE) /Fin. Mathematics than MBA in finance. There are several reasons for it:
1> I dont want to spend 2 yrs for my PG.
2> I cant spend a fortune (my budget is betn 15-20 lacs) and MBA seems to relatively expensive than MS.
3> My job doesnt give me enough bandwidth to prepare for GMAT. I appeared once with pretty less preparation and got 550.

Can someone plz guide me if I am thinking on the right track? I would also appreciate if anyone can suggest me good colleges in US for MSFE.
