Have renamed the thread..ok not exactly the best title but better than the previous one...do name the thread a bit more appropriately to elicit better response...:)

Now coming to your issue could you give us more information on this :

--> Cutting out the flaff how highly rated is the Msc (Econ ) course form Edinburgh ( I confess I am not much conversant with these courses ) . If it is one of the top courses it just doesnt make sense to leave it notwithstanding the fact that the rest of the "kids" in your class are in the mid to late twenties :) In fact it should make for a fantastic peer learning experience! Also what kind of job prospects does the course have?

--> Frankly unless there is a more compelling reason for you to come home your present reason of home sickness is a tad bit silly. Yes I know that's blunt but then you aspire to do a MBA where a bit of "go getter" attitude is assumed. Most of us dont come "prepared" to live away from home and this is a perfect opportunity to get used to it. Mind you all this assuming the course is worth it and you have no other compelling reason to return home.

--> What are your job prospects in Delhi ( am assuming if you are home sick you wont be working out of mumbai..) with your current qualification?

--> Remember anything can happen in CAT. Kindly do not keep CAT as an escapist route from your present conundrum as you might end up falling between two stools.

---> Also try to aim a bit higher and look beyond CAT. What are your career aspirations ? Why not finish off your course, work for some time and look for MBA abroad?

The post might be blunt but in my experience when it comes to career related qns sugar coating is just a waste of time for everyone...

Girish...!
