@Ankur_k Hi..1st of all you should decide that r you interested in CFA or FRM..& What you want to be in future ..I think every course need one thing & that is time. You should concentrate on your study & should practice & more practice ..you'll be able to crack any exam..All The Best..:)

No, CFA will not be of much help unless you target a combination of desk and research.
Network, Confidence and Contacts > Top tier B School > CFA > Nothing at all

I started with Economics(the toughest it seems). . it was really boring and vast. . .so switched to quantitative analysis which was a lot easier for me. . now i am in dilemma whether to go for CFA (which is lengthy) or FRM (which seems easier for me as of now). . .but talking about the job opport...

@gauravknewton Hi..1st of all you should register for cfa because after 2nd deadline the fee will be $ 1,545 approx, you should start your preparation so that you can complete the syllabus 1 month prior to your exam & in last month you should practice with atleast 2000 questions.

@mrinalkvbr I just bought the books from Laxmi yesterday @Vile Parle even though the books are for December 2012 it doesn't matter you can get started on reading as most of the portion has not changed. Also new books will be available @ Laxmi after the 15th of December which imo is too late to ...

the CFA curriculum is the best material to study from...But the problem is that it is too vast which is presented in a much compact way in the Schweser notes ..
