I hv been trying to find the PMP certification exam training online that is based on the new PMBoK 5 syllabus... i hv gone through many sites for the PMP course but found only one which was great..

NCMF adds only to your knowledge and doesn't give any advantage during Interview.
Its better to do CFA from US as ICFAI one is not so recognized and most people would have US CFA so they would definitely have advantage over you.

I am 2012 pass out BMS(finance) grad with no experience.i am not even getting jobs in BFSI sector rather i am getting jobs in hr field.i am interested in finance.

considering the cost of pursuing mba i have dropped down the idea of mba for some time.i will be giving CFA(us) l-1 this year.what certifications can i pursue that can land me a job in finance sector itself? since if i take up a job in hr field then without mba i won't be able to switch from hr to finance so easily.i had planned to do a job and pursue cfa l-1 & l-2 and get into finance sector job...is that a right path ?Can anyone suggest me certified courses for finance which will add value to my cv & help me get a job???

Its a generic project management certification . Its about following best practices in project management across domains .. For supply chain management we have totally different set of certifications by APICS

Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Project Management Professional (PMP) & others by Project Management Institute

I am going to join a MBA college in the US this fall and I wanted to add to my profile by getting a certifcation in SCM.
I have gone through the certifications offered by APICS , PMI and Six Sigma...
My question is which one is the most highly rated or reputed among the 3 or their pro's and con's.

My profile is BE Comp & 3 years work exp in Handling a Manufacturing Business... I hope to join a company in the US after graduation & work thus I would like to build my profile since my acads are avg.

Congratulations! And I don't see where you have a problem (unless of course you are referring to a problem of plenty!)

As for certifications, I doubt the top management consulting (assuming that's what you meant when you said consulting) firms would weigh in those a lot. In my knowledge, the top ones are really picky (top 5-10% in IIM A/B/C have a realistic interview shot) but the ones after those tend to be a little more accommodating. Sig sigma is helpful because manufacturing/operations are perennial interest areas for consulting firms. I am not as confident aboout PMP.

I'm not really a big fan of certifications unless the knowledge from them is being used in some way. If you're considering a certification, please consider how you're going to sell it to an interviewer 2 years from today because I don't see how you will be using what you learn from it anytime soon.

I would spend these 2 months thoroughly researching the schools I've admits from, reaching out to alumni who have the kind of roles I'm interested in, and may be reading about consulting just to get an idea of what they do and what's life actually like on the other side.

I want to know about the certifications and other courses required for profile building. My profile is as follows - I Completed My B.E. in 2009 with 72.6%. Since then i worked for 21 months as systems engineer in Infosys Technologies Limited at Hyderabad and then As Module Lead at CDAC, Noida( Profiles were of Production Support and Quality Management). I gave my CAT-2012 and got 96.69 percentile. I have converted IMT G(FT) and waiting for IIT Roorkee and IIT Chennai.
I will be relived from my current job by 8th April and since then till the course commencement I am having 2 months of free time. I was planning to do PMP and Six Sigma Green Belt Certifications in those 2 months. And since i want to go for profile in Consulting/Strategic management I wanted to know whether the above mentioned certifications would be helpful.
Any Insights on my problem would be helpful. Also any extra knowledge of different certifications would be helpful which could be of help to my profile and the one I am looking forward to.

Leaving a job to prepare for MBA is not advisable at all. In an MBA, one of the many things you will be expected to do is prioritize. A lot of people prepare and work simultaneously. Such people are bound to have an edge during the overall selection process.

If you are so keen on finance, why not look for a job in the space now, work for a couple of years and then pursue higher studies? This way, you will have demonstrated your commitment to the field by the time you apply. Furthermore, you will know for sure whether you 'really' want to build a career in finance.

Of course landing a job in a difficult market with no background isn't easy. But please understand that even firms that you'd want to work for post-MBA will much rather prefer some pre-MBA experience in the space.

You come across as a smart person, and age is on your side. You might want to consider picking up solid skills in the domain of your interest and then layering it with management education. This way, your higher studies will be more fulfilling both professionally and personally.

I have heard about the CABM certification but am not sure about its value in. Some elevate it to be a very good pre-MBA profile development module while others are quite skeptical regarding its advantage. So can you help me out with this dilemma?
