today i made a payment in indian overseas bank for bank PO challan and they gave me 16 digit transaction id but in form there maximum 10 digit we are supposed to fill.
now wat should i do ???
plz help me guyz who already filled this form ..

bhai....if u see ur transaction number....first 4 digit is "branch code"....second 6 digits are for "date".....and then the last digits (starting from c...) IS UR REAL TRANSCTION NUMBER..so just go with it.

Well the work culture will be the same more or less since both are govt controlled institutions but from a career perspective, It depends upon your choice, ECGC is a spcialised field related to Foreign Trade and Risk Management while BOI would offer you normal banking role for the initial years of working and would promote you to specialised roles only after you gain certain essential qualifications. BOI would be beneficial if you want to make a career in general banking.

ECGC would be better if you want to make a career in more lucrative job profiles of Forex Mgt, Foreign trade Credit mgt, Risk Mgt, etc which would essentially require you to work with large MNC and PSU companies and Govt agencies. Plus, the salary benefits and other benefits are more attractive than Bank PO jobs. And if in the future, You intend to switch to Pvt Sector Jobs, you would high preference in Large Foreign Banks in India such as Citibank, Standard Chatered or in Consultancy firms like Deloite, Ernst & Young, etc.

today i had the challan for IOB done, the lady over there gave me the transaction ID as follows............

1235******C***99

now when i asked her what is this, she said u have to take initial four digits i.e 1235 and then take the digits from C so the id is 1235C***99......
now am confused ,can anyone provide me with an example of the id's they have got,who've filled offline..........

One query regarding ECGC and Bank of India recruitment..
I have interview of both on same date..
If anyone can put light which organization I choose for better career objective.
My score in IBPS is 190..
If anyone know about the working culture of ECGC then it would be helpful for me to know something about ECGC..
I had given SBI-AB bank interview it was good but let's see what result will be..
I had not applied for any Bank on the basis of my IBPS score only Bank of India and ECGC.. big confusion..

my marks in ibps po and in clerk is 141 and 173 respectively and i belong to delhi circle for clerk,,,,,i dont have any chance for po but i want to my chance about clerk,,,in delhi circle total candidate above 171 is 1871 so my overall rank is 18071 approx and obc rank is 386 approx,,,,i think some candidates must be common in po and clerk and some of them must have been selected as a po for union bank,,,,,,can any friend just make a doc or list so that i can count my chances and it will help to other puys as well,,,if we can know the common candidate for clerk and po who has more than 170 in po and belongs to delhi circle then we can exclude them from clerical rank list becoz they will not fill the form of clerk(i think so) so plz help puys,,,,,any senior puys or any capable puy plzzzzz

haan bhai....mujhe aisa hi lagta hai ki bahut se kaaran hain ki Canara ke interview mein candidates kaafi kam ho sakte hain......mujhe maaf karna bhai......isse adhik main kuchh nahi bolunga....maine is tarah ke speculative posts karna chhor diya hai.....kyunki koi faayda nahi hai....bahut aashayein rakhin thin...bahut forecasts kiye thhe...sab toot gaye hain....isliye mujhe lagta hai ki ye soch kar koi laabh nahi ki kitne log kam honge.....hum sabko lagbhag 1:6 ka hi ratio sochna chahiye aur uske accordingly prepare karna chahiye....chahe jo bhi ho..ladai to zabardast hogi...isliye apne-apne hathiyaar tez kar lo bhai....thats what we can do at this point of time....to study and to prepare hard.....main ussi ki koshish kar raha hoon...

Puys do u think banks are going to call candidates according to these ranks???Otherwise what the use of the list....top 10000 candidates are getting calls till now...PIL can easyly lodged against Union Gove since they didint disclose the list earlier for taking money from unfortunate candidates,,,,I think they are changing their policy now onwords..what do u say...

it means ki 10000 gen vaccanies....iand rank on 160 marks is around 9600 matlab sure shot job k chances they....aur analysis kare to...

i got 9600 rank at 160....approx 500 log aise honge jo ki eligible nah honge due to result declaration or age criteria....aur 1000 aise hoge who didnt fulfill 60 % in grad criteria...it means ki rank will become...8000...

furhter 300-400 aise honge jo PO mai intrested hi nahi honge...:nono:

to iska matlab in crux rank for 160 gen with 60 % marks is around 7600-7700 :shocked:

and the seats are 10000 iska matlab sure shot job milna thi....:):)

but yeh bank walo ne sab gud gobar kar diya...
ab sir pitne k alwa aur koi kaam nahi reh gya..:banghead::banghead:

The system has changed but the pathetic HR policy of banks is what ruining the chances of candidates and until and unless they don't rectify them situation would not change whether its IBPS-2.0 or countless versions
