yaar..i think still thr z som catch in tis whole process bcoz d thing wiz we r talking abt same toppers getting calls from all d banks...means thr r approx 4000 toppers but banks hav already com up wid approx 5500 general vacancies...so i hope against hope these official must b thinking somthing and they mst b aware f d situation.

1 thing wiz i think these banks r gonna do is "Increase thr call ratio as d days pass by"....jo bank jitni late ayegi list lekar..unki call ratio utni hi jyada rahegi ranging frm 1:3 to 1:10(remeber United did tis previous year callin in ratio 1:10)..so itz surely possible.

ithink evry score in d range f 150-160 needs to wait and see how these bank turn up wid thr list....aur agar baad me bi wo 1:3 hi lekar aaye to phir to kuch ho nai sakta in sarkari banks ka....

As you know about 10000 posts already been declared by the various banks but their is a lot of confusion regrading the whole process. If a single candidate selected for various banks, then seats where wasted if he not join that particular bank.

Sir, i have a solution for that, Let talk to the banks and agree them for a common GD/PI process like the IIM are doing, so that Money, Time, Manpower all been saved easily and whole process goes smoothly.

I know many great minds are their for solving this problem but just look into this solution may be its a feasible one, many candidates can got job well ahead of time.

Let fill the application fee of that bank and come for the interview if you are shortlisted, make a pool of 6-7 banks at a time and conduct a process. I think its a better idea to select the candidates, no wasted of seats will be there.

oh i think they have changed it now.. when i wrote back in 2010 it was not like this... so change for the good.. !!!

after the 2009 fiasco they declared the admission policy before cat every year i really wish ibps does too

but generally govt. borrow money..it doesnt ever prints money actually no govt.(economy) in world prints money to overcome deficit(recent eg. eurozone crisis, eurozone can print money to get the piigs outta crisis but no it is actually doing bailouts and lending(further) them only)..It can increase taxes and different sort of fees but in the next budget only..for ongoing budget year it borrows money..

government borrows money to overcome the debt not deficit..
debts are nothing but the accumulated deficits.
money are printed on the basis of economy growth and to meet the ppls money requirement..

YES i understand that many good colleges like MDI AND xlri dont go with past academics... thats y i said its mainly the IIMS..(the 60-70 acads percentage IAS guy will be trained at HBS, but he got that chance because of the govt interview) yes they(iims.. might have their own reasons for changing the admission pattern..(they dont feature in the top 20 list just like that)... im only saying and supporting the admission process of the govt interviews .. thats it... iims a,b,c rock... !! their admission process does not (atleast for the candidates like me.. who has 70's past acads)...

not all hrs are good ..and we can not expect them to be so..and not all hrs are bad too,,,
we have to be ready for all situation..
answer should be like that suits both type of hrs.
who knows we may meet bad hrs who doesn't like our truth..

ITS maily THE IIMS THAT LOOK FOR SUPERFICIAL THINGS... 80% + IN 10TH , 12TH , GRAD.. in addition to getting that 98 percentile in CAT... if they need people like that with such background and if they believe its right way... theN y would ias toppers be in mediocre 70 percentages(in most cases 60's too) in 10th,12th, grad??? in what way a manager of a corporate be more responsible than the manager of a district( i mean the district collector and police commissioner here)??? so its IIMS who go for superficial and they might have their own reasons... its the govt sector that take into consideration the average students as well and give them a chance to excel even though how bad their past academic performances are... !!!

not all hrs are good ..and we can not expect them to be so..and not all hrs are bad too,,,
we have to be ready for all situation..

see you should clarify obviously IIM'S OR OTHER GOOD COLLEGES would never look for superficial things or qualities otherwise they wont be good and wouldnt produce people raghuram rajan sanjeev bhikchandani et al and maam another point PO's are at the manager level and believe me they are leaving psu banks in swarms

So according to me interview is not only about being honest ..it is more about not concealing the truth and not telling a lie.. u have to obtain a median path..formulate your answer accordingly..

same can be controlled by either increasing the revenues by increasing taxes or by reducing spending.

being honest is the best thing u can do..i did that in pnb..mba colleges dumped me..govt sector being different n awesome, don't value superficial stuffs..instead they value honesty..pnb selected me..give honest answers..all i can suggest..these ppl are very much experienced n they will know if u r lying..also a person leaving a psu bank while at the managerial level, hardly happens...i had an advantage.. i did masters in socio after my diploma in hrm...so i could tell them my interest hrm made me take pnb specialist officer exam..all i can say is be honest..tell the truth..

@loverbryan.. i think when he asked about how RBI regulates banks then i guess he wanted to know what is repo rate, reverse repo and functions of RBI etc... any way wish u best of luck for the coming interviews...

(printing of notes might lead to inflation)... just go through these basics then you would sail through the next interviews ... nothing to worry.. u never know u might actually get selected in this only may be...

there were 18 aspirants in my batch and 2 or 3 were absent, many of them were clerks working already. When I entered in the room, there were 3 members in the panel, two of them aged and one was about 40 years.It lasted about 10 to 12 minutes and took place in Hindi only. After entered in the room I wished them.
M1- What is your name? I got little confused what should I pronounce it?

Overall I was not satisfied with my performance, specially I could not tell last year profit.

what if the interviewer confront you with a question like...
as of now you are liking banking wt if after one year you wont??you will leave our bank and again we have to hire a new employee at your place so why should we hire you at this time and waste efforts to train you?

Yup, they would definitely ask that !!!!

then i guess i would say.. ummm during education previous class' course or study wouldnt prevent us from taking the course we like at a higher level.. like bio in 12th bca or bba in grad etc.. but job is something where previous exp will matter a lot when we want to go to a higher level(mostly that is)... a banker would in all probability would remain a banker assuming he doesnt do and MBA, civils, SSC etc... and even if he wants to shifts companies he would remain in banking related field... electrical engg would remain elec engg through out( a guy asst enginner in a state electricity board might change companies like NTPC, BHEL,TATA POWER but would remain in the same domain through out)... so one deciding for a job would obviously be very sure what path and what life he wants to lead than changing his preferences at will.(which obviously will not help him either if he wants to shift)..:o with a grin... then interviewers would obviously look at me like this getting ready to screw me with next question which some of you might ask me (like the one which u just asked me.. if it was asked in interview i would certainly be short of breath)...

Date- 11 February
My interview was scheduled at 10:00 am but my turn was at 12:30 pm.

there were 18 aspirants in my batch and 2 or 3 were absent, many of them were clerks working already. When I entered in the room, there were 3 members in the panel, two of them aged and one was about 40 years.It lasted about 10 to 12 minutes and took place in Hindi only. After entered in the room I wished them.
M1- What is your name? I got little confused what should I pronounce it?
me answered and then he offered me seat. I sit with thanking them.
M1-How many interviewed you faced earlier?
me-sit it is my first interview.
M1-well you had completed M.Sc, then why do tou want join bank?
me- answered and little bit discussion on this point, I don't know if he was convinced.
M1-What is budget.?
me-answered.
M1-Govt, always got budget of deficit, How do they complete this deficit?
me-Sorry sir, I don't know. (later realized may be govt. prints more currency but couldn't answer them.)
M1- Tell me about RBI. What does it do?
me-answered.
M1- How RBI regulates banks?
me- sorry sir I don't know.may be RBI has board of directors, it regulates banks by governing body.
M2 did not ask any question he was only observing.
