One of my friends who is working with a PSU bank was fed up with her manager. So were all her colleagues. They collectively complained against him and they got a new manager in the branch. So, unless you alone have a problem with someone, there are easy ways to get out of trouble.

Bhai haal to har jagah bura hi hai, private banks me PSU banks se zyada bura hai. But it is all about how you tackle it. There are ways to get leaves. If peaceful ways do not work, my experience says screw the boss before he gets on you.

ibps is my first po exam and i have done quite well in objective type questions as well as descriptive question paper,but i don't know how descriptive question paper is corrected.There are many experienced guys in this thread so can you please throw some light on this subject.can i expect to get atleast 70% marks in descriptive.

kotak mahindra is offering post graduate diploma in banking and relationship management and they absorb these students in to their banks as assistant managers.i want to know is it a good idea to join this programme.

Are 10 Rupaya lagta hai, kar do. Is se idea ho jayega where you stand and if you are short by a few marks only, you will make it in forthcoming lists of IOB because each bank is coming out with a number of lists now.

I would say get a hint from the HR by calling them up. If they tell you joining is near, go resign today. Otherwise, stick to your current employer.

If I were you, I would resign right now and would roam around different places in the country till the IOB joining. Kya karna hai itne paise ka bhi...

Number of candidates appearing in an exam is not much of a reason for delay as the number is mostly as anticipated. They raise the money accordingly through applicants and SHOULD have adequate logistics and infrastructure to do the evaluation, including but not limited to OMR scanners, manpower to check the descriptive. So, obviously that has be in accordance with the scale of exam conducted.

I, for one, have not been able to figure out what makes them take this long when I know for sure that 1 OMR reader is capable of reading at least 7500 sheets per hour. So, all OMR sheets can be checked in a couple of days even with lakhs of candidates, if they have even a few OMR readers to boot.

Which big banks are you talking about? I am assuming you are talking about big private banks like ICICI. If yes, then their way if doing business is just not ethical, and it cannot go on for a long time. Period.

Talking about all banks in general, I think the crowd at bottom is not really the best of the lot, obviously because the banks are not even close to being the best pay masters anymore, leave aside the poor working conditions. If the situation does not improve, these banks will be a pool of all failed human beings to speak of because if you look around not a single person worth his salt joins a bank to stick to it forever. They want to move out right from the day they join. So, obviously the banks will be left with duds and the banks will themselves go down the drain because of below average brains working there.

BHAI mera ek bahut simple saa argument hai AGAR SSC 6 lakh bachhon ka result 1 mahine se kum time mein nikaal sakti and that too being a CENTRAL GOVT ORGANIZATION where RED TAPISM, FEET DRAGGING and CORRUPTION are identifying features of the respective departments then banks should set a precedent and declare results within 20-25 days flat buti think we are asking for too much here here everything goes according to IST.
yaar there is another conspiracy theory it goes somewhat like this the more time a bank or govt office takes to release it's results the more is the scope of manipulation.

And the thing you said about failed human beings i agree with you unequivocally see perspicacious like my friend whi is BOI is just working there to gain work ex for an mba and the paymaster argument is absolutely right there was a time when the salaries of bank officers were at par if not more than IAS officers that was a time they were really officers now i think that there is slowly emerging a scenario where the working conditions in PSU banks and the IT sector are becoming analogous but i would ay the banking sector has lower pay even.

thats the point bro...he denied offer of barclays.......sbi offers better long term growth with respect too..........One of my relative was in sbi(scale 3),worked for for 2 years in Tokiyo branch of sbi. He left sbi 1 week before, for HSBC 24 LPA:)

Yes bro you are right.But I dont have plans of switching to private banks............I would love to work for IOB(as i am selected),SBI(dream),RBI,CIVIL SERVICES(if luck and hard work allows)...

As per policy bank will provide me the permission to continue my mba along with job,,,I think the written permission by bank would not create problem for future(my best freind and my classmate did same thing in allahabad bank) :)
