abt the wording of ur appointment letter as RECOMMENDING, it is not pessimistic. it's just that rbi services board is recommending ur name to the bank.

yaa buddy...tat's what i was refering to...u can xpect d reasoning and quant pattern to be same lyk Uco or BoB for that matter......GK, as they have already mentioned wud b with emphasis on Banking, so banking ques. wud b on a bit higher side...comp section wud b a bit easier, u can do well in Computers wid a little bit of preps.

AB consists f 175 questions of English+GK+Comp.....if u perform well in these sections...things can b a bit easy 4 u in terms f getting a call.

Its so good to see our new abode,, I have been the part of the thread for a long time now,, and the help and support that I have recieved from you guys have been immense,, thanx a lot for that,, I wish that the trend of offering help and support to all the puys would continue here also,, and the camaraderie that we share will last always even in the new threads to come,,

Guys the Allahabad exam is just two days away now,, and I hope that each and everyone is thoroghly prepared for it,, cuz its the golden chance to become a po before the application of the common entrance exam,, I feel that everybody needs to prepare a strong strategy not by asking someone else but by making correct utilization of his/her strengths and minimizing faultering in weak areas,,

I feel that computer section can be a scoring section and does not even requires much of the time,, other scoring section would be General Awareness for those who have studied well the GA of last 5-6 months,, Reasoning is gonna be tricky specially puzzles as we have seen in the last few exams,, so it would require a it of time,,,

Well,,,,, here is how I am gonna solve the paper,, my strategy for time management,, its pretty simple and straightforward,,,


10:00 -- 11:00 -->> Reasoning

11:00 -- 11:45 -->> Quantitative Aptitude

11:45 -- 12:15 -->> General Awareness

12:15 -- 12:40 -->> English

12:40 -- 01:00 -->> Computer Awareness


I have always started my papers with reasoning section,, cuz it is the section which requires maximum usage of your brain,, and as in the starting mind is totally fresh,, it can be used for this tricky section,,

But,, there are few people who are pretty nervous in the starting of the exam,, but theie nerves settle down after sometime,, for those people I would suggest to do their easiest section in the begining like english or general awareness and then reasoning and other ones,,

But never leave Reasoning for the last time,, cuz at that time clock ticks five times quickly then what it normally does and also your concentration level goes down a bit,, so always leave easier sections for last minutes,,


Keep preparing hard guysss,,,

d question in tis year xam shud b similar to BoB only i.e for reasoning amd quant section....d pattern has changed since d Uco Bank xam in January tis yr....so u r finding d last yr paper easier.
Regarding Comp section...wait for other responses..as i m a IT graduate, so havn't prepared much 4 tis section. I am mainly gearing up for GA section wid 75 questions as that is gonna b d game changer according to me...

Actually i am not PO aspirant but one tortured soul:drinking: in IT.

Yaar to be frank it depends on the type of bond. Whether the bond money is in the form fixed deposit in the companies or mere an Undertaking.

If the bond is only undertaking then as soon as get selected in the bank quietly without informing any HR go absconding. The big companies arent concerned of ppl who left like this (many of freinds have used this way of exit) . the bond money comes in picture only when u have to get some NOC or u want to get the experience certificate from the company then u have to pay the bond money.

So join the company but dont discuss anything regarding ur Bank Plans and wait for the final selection.

I downloaded the Paratiyogita darpan PDF file from internet.Now at the last pages i found that there are too many GA question BUT without answers even there is heading "Answers with hints".........From where i can get their answers,so that i can prepare from it effectively..?

Purchase PD hardcopy or tell some of ur friend who has the hardcopy to share it.

I myself was working for an IT MNC, left it in 6 months for bank job ... Might b hard to explain the pro's right now but i believe it was a gud decision for the long run. Plus the bond thing vil create problem for u later. So dnt join satyam (unless u r hardcore coder kinda guy). Wait for sometime ... 1-2 months wont make that much difference ven u think of 30-35 years of service ...
P.S. personal opinion , u might feel different.

And 2nd one is,i have sent draft of 900rs to pratiyogita darpan,for subsciption and two other magazine on 5th of april,but no confirmation from then nothing ,so help me how do i check abt that ,i am too much worried

You won't get a chance of Union Bank or any other Bank after 24 months isn't it???
Entering into IT industry is damn easy, and also being get out of job is damn f**k easy!!!!!
Zindagi bas jeene ke liye, aur saas lene ki samay par bhi tension se marne ke liye nahi!!!(This is my personal opinion as I am working in a big software company, I know the difficulties, frustration, the way they give value to the people, the way they look when we asked for a leave etc...)

And I want to ask you one straight question, You are still in confusion of selecting IT or banking?? Here most of the people even they're working in IT companies, they'll definitely quit their job for bank job(I hope). So decide, and don't join in tech mahindra if you're really interested in banking, since 2 years is too much!!! I you really need to support your finances, then join in a company with don't have any bond!!!

What 400 Posts!!!!

They shortlisted 650 candidates of which not more than 550 must have appeared in interview. In my center alone 13 of 47 candidates were absent. Had they selected 400 candidates why don't they put up list on its website. Transparency is something which they should adhered to. They declared the results in most unprofessional way.

I have already filed an RTI about my marks, cut-offs, No. of candidates finally selected. Those who haven't received the mails from Vijaya Bank and frustrated contacting Vijaya Bank HR..pls do the same, File an RTI!

exactly, even during my interview I found a huge number of absentees, from my batch 14 people were absent. Even I believe that around 500-550 candidates must have turned up for the interview. You won't believe but when I called the HR few days back and asked whether the results will be published, he said that bank people cannot answer this.. then I was like...no words. He said that if we did not get an email then we are not selected.Then I asked whether there is any possibility of a wait list he said that he was not the concerned person to answer such questions. Then I asked for some other no. where I can clarify my queries... to which he said.. no one from the bank can answer these questions... Then I said if the results are not published in the website how can we be sure whether we are really rejected or did not receive the email for some technical faults??then he again said the very old phrase wait for another 2 or 3 more days. Even I doubt the transparency of this bank. Atleast they should disclose the number of people selected ...
