Also, continue here this section with your query: Career Discussions Its not that IT work ex isnt given importance, it is that most of the people think of MBA when they are on bench and hence, there work ex doesnt contribute to there profile. If you can convience them about your work and why MBA, then you will get the weightage for work ex in the interviews. -

Don't you think you are being a bit hasty here? In my mind, there are some reasons why this thread is not required: 1. Its too early in the season. Placement reports start trickling out of Bschools around end-Nov, but the actual rush begins only mid-Jan. End-Oct is surely not the time to start such threads. 2. The data you wish to compare on this thread is never quite trustworthy, but always too suspect, be it any bschool, including the IIMs. (Call it blasphemy, if you will...) Hence, the comparisions drawn are itself not quite resonable, you see... 3. We usually open a thread for individuals of the passing out batch to list their placements. To have one for the whole school... Anyways, these are my ideas for this thread. I'd personally recommend that this thread be closed till the first actual placement report is out. Regards, Grondma... I have two daughters, the eldest (nearly [smiley] of which suffers from dyslexic problems, eye tracking, memory problems and related learning difficulties. I initially spoke to Dore in August 07 , advised she was a little young , to perhaps come back in a while. Since then we have engaged the School and had a educational psycholgist give an evaluation, which was a long time coming. I am really coming to terms with how much of a problem this is for Jenny as somedays she is better than others, and it requires lots of help and commitment from us and her school which is now aware the level of attention needed. It has been a long time coming, no one put her issues in these terms until now, and i am uncertain quite how they are going to manage her on a day to day basis.
