Hi tiss_crazy,

I dont think applying for R2 will be harmful..
About your Exp - you can apply with 2 years exp.. but you will get very tough competition from ppl having exp more then you.. in app you will need to show what is the uniqueness in your profile and why should they give you admission against a person who has say 5 years of exp.. and what leadership qualities you have gained over the period of your exp, and have you ever worked as a team lead or at any lead position...

i am aiming for isb 2012-2013..i have a little doubt here..i ll have two yrs of work experience by march 2012..m i eligible or is it too early for me to dream so high..:biggrin: ISB is my dream !!!!!!!
and if m eligible for that year,m planning to apply for R2..i need to prepare well for gmat..is there any disadvantage if apply for R2??

Hi All, this is Aakash Sharma, working in ITES industry, Finance in Gurgaon. Total work exp. 8 years+. Targetting ISB 2012-2013. Planning to give GMAT by either in June'2011 or in August'2011. first of all, i don't think u r allowed to share email ids here ...
for your prep u can start by taking the diagnostic test on the gmat website which will give a fair idea of your strong & weak areas ... then decide on which areas to focus more...
for study material definitely get the OG12 and maybe get some additional guides of manhattan (they r very good for basic concepts) or kaplan. Then for practice buy some CAT tests (manhattan/kaplan/princeton) to get an idea of where u stand..

I'm a scientist in DRDO with 4 years work-ex including nearly 10 months in Honda motorcycles (HMSI). I'm a Mechanical Engineer from Jamia Millia Islamia.

I haven't yet started to prepare as such and will be starting with the OG first in a few days.

I shall be taking the GMAT around the first week of June.

About your experience.. I think minimum prefered exp is 2 years for ISB, but I guess by the time you will apply you will complete 2 yers exp... in that case you will need GMAT score above 720 ...

I am actually running out of time, as my office schedule is very tough and I have to find time for studies as well.... and till may I have to clear it ... for R1 apps.... Therez no plan B..
