shrivasv posted 09:19 PM, 07 Apr '11 Hello Kevin, I cant speak for others, but from my experience, even I got a conditional offer after the interview. I was supposed to send them my GMAT scores and meet a few other conditions before the offer became unconditional. From what you have posted, I can assume that you have been made an offer unofficially ( Note that they cant grant you any kind of offer unless you take up the GMAT as this is one of the mandatory requirements). Once you submit your GMAT score (minimum is 600) they will officially make an offer of admission to you. Good luck :). Hope this helps. I got conditioanl offer subjected to GMAT. Please let me know.. did you send it?? I've to pay fees within 2 weeks.. Thanks. -

TraderJoe1976 posted 03:40 PM, 07 Apr '11 Hi All, I work with a global med-device company and have 6.5 years work experience in R&D; and Field Clinical roles in US. I have long-term plans to move closer to home in India/ S Asia in the healthcare sector. I applied for part-time MBA at 3 schools (UCLA Anderson, Berkeley Haas and Wharton exec SF) and got into all the programs. My initial goal was to possibly move to a new role in Mkt/Strategy while completing my MBA to round my profile and possibly move to S Asia post-MBA. However, there have been some internal developments which have forced me to re-think my plans. There is a great opportunity back in India to manage the Clinical division for my company and I've expressed interest in the role. I'm wondering if I should take up the opportunity if it's offered and look to do my MBA from India/S Asia or should I stick to my initial plan to complete MBA in the US. If I choose to complete MBA in US, I will have to incur 70% of the MBA costs and possibly stay back for couple of y... Read More » -

veracious_vik posted 11:53 AM, 05 Apr '11 Hi All, Do any one know which are the B schools which provides admission when a company requests for an MBA admission in top 50 B schools in world. Hi.. [smiley] : Your query is a little wierd [smiley] Normally, Companies have tie-ups with B-schools for Part-time, Executive & Distance Learning MBA & not Full Time MBA for their employees as they do not want their employees to leave them. Alternatively, working executives who wish to pursue Full Time MBA, first get admission in any of the top B-Schools & if they wish to come back to the same company after finishing MBA, then they take a sabbatical, which in some cases leads to company even sponsoring that employee for his MBA (i.e. Some or entire portion of B-School fees is paid by the company). This is what my understanding says. [smiley] [smiley] -

ivyctor2010 posted 10:43 PM, 09 Apr '13 @enaskim Hi guys,I finally got a call from HEC telling me that they have scheduled a face to face interview with 2 ex MBA student. Can anybody tell me more about this interview? what's its aim? can anybody help with the preparation. Thanks Below are a few interview tips for you: 1) Answering “Why MBA” question: While answering this question, avoid talking too much about your past or let your past drive you to MBA. Consider this example – “Having worked in an IT project for a financial firm, I think that I mastered one part of the business and by doing MBA I would be able to handle the entire business…” – this kind of answering style is primitive and shows a lack of clarity about your goals.2) Showcase genuine, honest efforts towards building a career: Be very clear where do you wish to be in your career 5 or 10 years down the line? What have you done so far in that direction? How much interest do you have in your future career? Have you done any ground work in understan... Read More » -

hemantk posted 06:45 PM, 03 Apr '11 Hey Guys, This is for all who are planning to do MBA from abroad. As you might be knowing that there is a requirement to get your travel health policy before you take a flight to your destination. I have completed MBA from Purdue, just wanted to tell you guys that be careful when you take health and personal liability policy from any insurance company. Check if it covers personal liability claim. I bought from Bajaj Allainz. Unfortunately I accidentally damaged carpet in my rented apartment that proved very costly to me. Very unfortunately Bajaj Allianz didn't accept my claim, even though it was very well within the policy. I suffered a great loss. You guys please make it sure when you buy any such policy from any company, especially from Bajaj Allianz. Do not think I am only writing as I suffered loss, I am also writing so that you can avoid any mental tension due to your policy. It is always tough to face financial burden after MBA, especially when you had to wait for couple ... Read More » -
