Sorry for multiple posts as there was some error yesterday while posting..

Got the confirmation yesterday but also got to know that the course is 15 Months. It means We will be Jobless for 3 More Months and after that the Package will not be that big either!!

Looking towards the Current Trend of Placement, there is decline in it from last year's. So Skeptical what to do now.

Why would AICTE Approval required in 1st Place???

Also International Immersion has been scraped from the course!!! SO no more Exchange Program!!!!

So plz advice..

As far as I understand:
1.AICTE approval implies no service tax has to be paid by the students. That means less (around 1.5 lacs) financial burden on the sudents.

2.a)I do not have proper data on current year placement. However , whatever I came to know is placement is going fine with a great number of companies visiting the campus. Students in fact had the option to decline some offers as those did not conform to their career aspiration which I think is a good sign. However, best thing would be to wait for the official update from XLRI.
b) Having said that , placement took a hit in all the b-schools this year given the financial turmoil. Banking sector has been affected badly and the repurcussions were evident in the placement of many other leading b-schhols of the country as well. Hence placement is a function of next year's economic scenario as well.

3."It means We will be Jobless for 3 More Months " - the nitty gritty of the 3-month's program is yet to be decided. Hence it will be early to comment. Personally , being 3 more months jobless (read student) augurs well for a greater good in future.

4. Regarding international Immersion: Whatever I have gathered from current and ex-students is : 3 weeks immersion really did not boost the resume the way it should. Hence some demo project work or other activities might as well put the students in good stead. However, I am not sure at this point of time on the plans of those 3 weeks.
Seniors, can you throw some light?

5.Regarding timing of placement: As mentioned earlier I do not have any solid info on this. I think some sort of deliberation is going on.
Seniors, can you throw some light on it?

Hope this helps..
