All the information regarding scholarship, timeline and deposit will be mentioned in the Fedex package sent by them. My confirmation deadline is 08-Feb'13.

@tmithun I haven't received the official admission package my post... but yes, i'll pay as soon as i receive that, and join UAlberta in Fall, provided all Visa formalities are completed without much hassles ...

@tmithun between these 2, i think UofA has a better MBA program ... but, U of C is in Calgary, which puts it in the heart of Alberta's largest city and economic hub... I'm not sure how big a factor that would be, as Edmonton is just a 2.5hrs drive from Calgary...

@gradbuster- Can you apply for visa in India even if you are resident of UAE? Or will you be quitting UAE and going back to India and applying from there. Also, there is online application for study permit. I am now in the process of filling it. Let me see where it ends up.

@coolbuddy22ster Canada is not a conventional MBA market like US. In fact if your purpose is to come to Canada and have best paid jobs , better choice will be to pursue MS or MSc. @gradbuster i'll be in India not before the 2nd week of March ... before applying for the visa I have to apply and get a student loan sanctioned.... as soon as that is done, i'll apply for the Visa and permit... so that means, it'll be around April 1st-2nd week by the time I apply...
@boserahul I can apply here in UAE but consulate in Abu Dhabi is taking 7 weeks , while in India its just 2 weeks. So I am also planning to apply for student permit in India. When do you expect to start the application process , I am targeting end March or starting April.

@gradbuster well, i am in Toronto right now and i think applying for a student visa from here might get little messy for me, as i'm most certain to return to India in a couple of months .. i'll start the process once i reach India...

@ussinp basically you have to show all liquid assets and funds you have... so that means, give attested bank statements of all your bank accounts, FD records, investments, etc. that should do it , i think...

@boserahul Thanks Rahul: One more thing, How much time you got in between notification of interview and interview. I can see your Interview was done in 10 days after your application's status was changed to complete but I believe University was closed these days, Thanks again.

@amrendra1 - Hi, regarding your query, The transcript and the consolidated marksheet, which we recieve are to be sent to the universities. If you do not have the consolidated marksheet, you will ve to send each marksheet. I think all the universities give it as one package!!

Just done with my interview with UofA. As luck would have it, the video option on my Skype refused to work so we did the interview over a call. The format was the same as earlier outlined by @tmithun. Chris said the I should get the final decision from FGSR by end of Jan. Fingers crossed now!
