I was interviewed on 15th March by Stacey through Skype.

Thanks to allthe applicants who have shared their interview experiences in this thread. My interview was on similar lines. I was asked the following questions:

Can you walk me through your resume.
What is your short term career goal?
Are you applying to any other schools in US? What if you don't get into your preferred MBA program?
Why have you chosen Smeal?
What do you do for fun?
Explain me a situation where you have faced an ethical dilemma.
Tell me one thing you like and one thing you dislike about teamwork.
How will your classmates describe you?
Do you have any questions for me?

The interview lasted for 35 mins. All the best folks.

2. What is the procedure for getting a US co-signor loan? Does this loan cover the entire cost of the program?

Smeal was a big big disappointment for me considering that my interview went well and I felt I should make it. The only thing which I felt Stacey did not like was my feedback on application website which I found to be of 1990's. But then I was honestly answering what I did not like about application. :)

It is time that truth be told guys. GMAT is THE DECIDER! I just wish I could have taken coaching but anyways i am not sure if I would have any time to attend those classes. I told this to adcom when they asked me about my GMAT score of 660, but still no use.

Congratulations to all those admitted! I have admits from other schools with scholarships, but I wanted to join Smeal. World is tough, ain't it?

Wanted to share some good news with you.

Smeal College of Business will now offer a six-sigma black belt certification course (inline with American Society for Quality) for students interested in taking up Supply Chain as a concentration. All enrolled students would be eligible to take up this course. An option of green-belt certification is also available.

This certification is recognized worldwide and Smeal is one of the few schools in the country to offer such a course.

Can you please let me know if the deadline for international applications is flexible? I want to apply to Smeal mba. However, i could not make it to 1st Feb 2011 deadline. Also, i need to take IELTS exam before sending the application. Please let me know.

I do not have much information on the hotels. Ask the adcom to connect you to the organizing committee ( for the visitation weekend ) and it should be able to suggest better alternatives.

GMAT 580 (I know it is low)
Exp : 10 Yrs IT (5+ yrs in management,led max team size of 80+, all the clients I have been associated with so far are among Fortune 100 companies)
Also PMP certified 4 yrs back
International exp: 6 yrs
EC : Volunteer in NGO

I am looking for conc in SCM or General management and also keen on knowing if SMEAL has got 1 yr MBA (not the EMBA)...
