I am planning to apply for SP-Jain 2012, could you please review my profile and let me know whether do I stand a chance for an interview call if apply using xat score

a) XAT score : 94.9 percentile - however I screwed in quant section 45 percentile : (
b) Total experience 8.5 Years
* International experience : 2.5 years
* Worked as Industrial Engineer for 1 year
* Worked as Asst Manager and deputy manager with some of the leading banks in india (approx 2.5 yrs)
* Worked as program analyst with one of leading IT company in India ( approx 1.5 yrs)
* Currently working as Sr consultant ( domain) - leading IT company in India
approx( 3.5 + years)
c) Education background : B.Tech manufacturing engg - 2002 ( CGPA : 7.12 / 10)
10th 73%
12th 67%
d) Extracurricular activities : decent ( from sports to theater to social service)

Hello Akshay,

You seem to have a very good work experience, which is certainly your competitive advantage. Also, if you have good amount of extra curricular activities listed in your profile, then, together these two things will try to balance upon your XAT score.

However, just a thought for you. You can apply to SPJIMR even if you have not written GMAT until August. Your GMAT scores will have to be submitted by August. You have plenty of time. If YOU are not comfortable with your XAT scores, may be you can try writing GMAT and see whether you can it make up.
