I just have a small question .
I am working as a sales executive in South Korea. It's my first job with only one year of work experience. I wish to apply for NANYANG next year which would make two years of work experience.
What are the odds to get into the school with two years of work experience ?
What should be my GMAT score (I am appearing next month ) ?
Please suggest wether CFA or any other certificate would help me in creating a good profile ?
Or is there any other certificate course which can help me in getting an admission to NANYANG.

i got my admit mail on 7th july.. and a small re interview on 4th july...my profle is ...gmat 750. 5 year work Ex in tata motors SCM.. average extracurricullars...

I spoke to the University and they said that if you have any other offer, then kindly accept them as chances of conversion is very very low

Secondly they will be closing all the admission procedure by 1st week of July..

actually i did the mistake of only applying in NTU full time mba only, so it dcreases my chances more , as there must be not more than 15 seats for indians.

Hey pgo, I was in the same state a few days ago. It is frustrating. The process seems to be is slightly slow this year and they don't have a reason to spread wrong info. My advise is to wait for a few more days. and ya looking at the last few year's threads it seems like they generally keep offering until 3rd week of June. so, still have hope.

i called the NTU office , the lady from other side told me that they are still taking the interviews, and guys who have been waitlisted still stand a chance... i doubt that...i think i have lost a chance to be admitted to NTU.

Has anyone here got college accomodations ?

i must agree , definitely the slowest, my best wishes for cranfield..even the phone no. of admissions office is on auto message, can you tell me from which no. you got the call..

I have been offered a place in Nanyang-Waseda program.
Got a call yesterday and then got the mail from the school.
But it's too late for me, I have already committed to Cranfield now and will be joining that in September. Will be declining the offer. I don't understand why school take ages to declare the result and then loose out on good candidates as they have already committed to other school!

I was going through your admission process & i have a clarification regarding TOEFL scores. Since my medium of instruction was primarily english, i dont have to take up TOEFL right? if yes, do we have to submit our undergraduate study transcripts which mention medium of instruction?

my status has been changed to 'waitlist' from 'for interview' . i was interviewed on 30th May. Is it a normal process of NTU. i have seen lot of people reproting 'waitlist' as the status which eventually becomes ' application not successful'/... is their any who was directly offered a 'successful interview' status without being waitlisted....

My status changed from Wait listed to application not successful.. What a waste of time.. Good luck guys.. It was nice being part of this group.. I'm going ahead with Rotman..

You mean they are actually changing status!
I applied on 31st Dec 2011, was interviewed on 28th Feb 2012. Still shows wait-listed.

Nevertheless, have moved on and accepted elsewhere. Assuming so would be the case with many other candidates.

Wonder the logic behind such a prolonged waitlisting.

that gives one a less than 2 months to preapare oneself , , my company will not allow me to resign before 2 months..

called Nanyang just now.. they say all the results will be updated by mid june now.. i wonder if it'll end mid june or be prolonged further after that too.!!

thats true...internships are very much feasible, even if its 1 year program..as mentioned by raghav earlier, it all depends on how u manage ur work. .

Nope - internship is a period of time where MBA student can do part-time/full time work with some companies - this would typically be for some sort of special projects, depending on the arrangement(note: people would get compensated since it is an actual work). This is particularly useful for those who are looking to switch sectors.

I just received the NTU-Waseda schedule, it seems like we will be having a 6 weeks gap time between trimester 2 and 3 (the japan trimester) so I suppose for folks wanting to do 2-3 month internship it is feasible, providing if we start from January and ends on March.

Also for those who would want to know, apparently some of the elective classes starting from trimester 2 is conducted during the evening hours and take place in the buona vista campus, hence I suppose this would make it easier to juggle the part-time internship schedule.

I guess that leave the problem of getting one.

Other than the salary , i would also be looking on the areas where students were placed eg finance,manufacturing plus the location of most of the jobs.. doesnt nanyang publish these somewhere on their website? can any nanyang alumini/student help here?

Folks - I guess this question is for the current Nanyang MBA students: is the current job market in Singapore pretty grim for this year?
What I heard is that internship opportunities are pretty scarce this year.
Folks on Waseda program - any of you doing any internship for this year?

hi goodluck..Does Internship means "Business Study mission" as mentioned in the course curriculum, if it is so , than it is shown as a flexible time, where one can either take extra coursed or go for a internship...please correct me if i am wrong...
