For everyones benefit who is new to the thread. The One Year Full Time MBA (IIM, ISB) etc is a regular MBA, not an executive mba which is a part time course. There is nothing called a Full Time Executive MBA. Full Time MBA can be One Year regular MBA (the primary format offered in Europe) and 2 year regular MBA (primary format offered in USA)

@singht2 NHi .. Naturally, if u r showing some years as experience, u need to provide the proof. May be u can think what to provide, may be some bank account statement giving regular monthly credits or something that u can justify. Then with those options, contact IIM-I, finally they are the people who can confirm if it is OK or not. Rest of the puys can only give a view, it is not binding ...

I am not sure whether u will get any Browny points for applying early. anyway u can keep the stuff ready. I am not sure when the ads will come. My guess is sometime in Jan. anyway u can google

Very good extra currics and 8 certifications in financial services (ncfm)

I have around 5 + years of experience in IT Consulting/Systems/Business. Furthermore I have a GMAT Score of 640. Currently playing the role of a an associate Project Manager in Accenture with respect to Delivery as well as Non Delivery.
I am also completing important Certifications like CCBA (Business Analyst) as well as PMP. I have numerous work related achievements.
Please let me know whether I should apply.

Dear Sesha, Can you please throw some light on the no. of waitlisted candidates for your batch. How many of them got the final offer last year. This year they are delaying indefinitely to put out the final admission offer list. It would be really great if you could provide some info about last year admissions, to understand the extent of the movement of waitlist.

Sorry for the late response. As a member of the 2011-12 batch of EPGP, I would recommend everyone to be on sabbatical rather than resigning, if u have even the slightest possibility of doing that. It might not be easy to get a sabbatical but the effort spent on it will be worth it. Your entire course will be much more relaxed. You won't have to worry too much about placements. Allowing people on sabbatical to attend placements is a decision of each individual batch I guess. For our batch it was decided to allow such people to appear for interviews. But this is not necessary for each batch.

I suggest you get in touch with them and have small meetings in different cities to get a first hand understanding of how to go about the course from day one. Ideally try to get in touch with the placecom/alumni team members

People who will go on a sabbatical will not have a say in the salary package at the the time of re-joining ---- True statement ??

Also , what obligations do we have if we go on a 'sabbatical' as opposed to a 'resignation'? I understand that different organizations will have different policies on this but I am just trying to get a hang of it.

Not entirely. Usually there is a refitment when you join back after the course. The refitment depends on the course you do and the grades you get. Every company has it's own policy around it. You should contact the HR of your company to get the policy document and go through it.
