Agreed; it doesn't cost anything to apply but ever heard of the funda of 'are you a reapplicant? if yes, what has changed in your profile during the last one year for us to consider you?' Yes; I am one of the official bloggers on the NUS Blog but you will just see glimpses of me and no answering such questions there. (hope you understand) Well, about the typical week, yes, it is hectic but again how busy you are in any MBA totally depends on you. Barring the assignments and projects, there are lots of competitions, free topics, club activities, networking events and dinners one may or may not participate in. In short: up to you.

Does anybody know till what date the work experience is calculated . I started working in BHEL since july 2010 ,so I was wondering if I ll be eligible for the august 2012 program.

Based on previous years' checkpoint, work experience for 2012 intake will be calculated till June 2012.
I'm afraid thats not the case , one of the things that NUS Adcom is very particular about is an official transcript sent directly from ur undergrad school sent directly to NUS. (refer to last years thread, there were multiple applicants whose orginal transcripts were even rejected because they were detailed marksheets attested by the registrar). I think if you discuss with the registrar of your college they should be ok to make a transcript and send it across.
I guess that is exactly what I suggested: contact the Ad Com, explain the situation, and sort it on the phone..
It holds but a fresh scored is preffered anyday; of course, no one will tell you that on the face of it! (Suggestion: Going forward, we can state our profile as Qualification/WorkExperience/GMAT)
So, here goes:
B.Tech(ECE)/4+/730 Worked in India and now in Singy. Decent ECA.
I have a question - Does the 5-year GMAT score validity still hold? Or do the universities give preference to someone who took the GMAT recently?
Cheers!

The GMAT is supposed to be a relatively recent representation of your logical and analytical abilities. What purpose would it solve applying with a score you got 3-4 years back right out of college. Ideally (and to maximise chances), a score older than a year, year and a half should not be used.
Also, over the last few years, the GMAT scoring pattern has changed which makes applying with latest scores even more important.

Based on the info u hav provided i can tell you what is a plus and whts a minus ... so here you go ---
Age (less than avg / median) - Minus F (plus - diversity) Work Ex (minus , borderline of qualification) GMAT - plus (Avg GMAT for Indians in the cohort will be around 700 - 720 approx)
Other factors like extra curriculars / NGO ex and all will help if you can put those experiences in context, like how that has helped you to be a better person / honed your leadership skills/ interpersonal skills etc.

Your final marksheet is your transcript so should not be a problem. However, I suggest you to get in touch with the Ad Com at the earliest. The contact details are on the website. Sort it over the phone and get it done with at the earliest. This is the last thing you would want to bother about!
All the best!

NUS has exchange tie ups with a lot of schools across the globe, you can check out the website for further details. The eligibility, well, this depends on how many people have applied for exchange to a particular school and whether the school fits into your scheme of things. I mean it doesn't seem pragmatic to go to Stern if management consulting is what you are targetting post-MBA; Stern would make sense for finance. Also, you need a good GPA to apply for exchange - the scoring system and details would only make sense once you are in NUS! But yes, the GPA required is kinda on the higher side for the better ones.
Regarding the cost, well there would be no additional tutition fees (you would have to pay the NUS semester fees). However, the cost of living and sundry costs are somethings you would need to take care on your own. Therefore, if it is the a US school that you are targetting, the cost of living will be a bit higher than Singapore.
