Applied around 20th Jan and got their reply yesterday, i.e on 17th Feb.

i applied to that too, and they allowed me to pay the admission fee AFTER the scholarship decisions are out. though the decisions won't be out until april or may..

I found out from former NUS MBA chaps and the impression they give is that chances for getting scholarship for Indians is not great as the demand is high even for admissions.
I understand that the Texas A&M; U is a great universities ( atleast for engineering and hence may be a good business school too). Are you getting significant scholarship from Texas AMU??

Yes it was! Coz i was going crazy reading up on external issues and events and they did not ask even a single question that was not related to my profile.
N there were two interviewers - the lady was a member of the AdCom and the guy was a part of the faculty

Anyone who applied on 31st jan got Interview call.... m loosing hope now...

I submitted my application by 24-25 Jan 2012. I got an interview call on 9-10 Feb for an interview on 20 Feb. I was interviewed by a prof. I knew the prof. who would be interviewing me as the adcom team had sent the details. The prof. was from the Strategy Dept. as I had chosen that as my first preference. He just had limited information about me and didn't even want a copy of my resume as he wanted to judge me without any background information .

I was a casual interview where I was asked about

1. My view about FDI in India. I had to speak for both pro and against the legislation
2. The current eurozone crisis and what I thought would happen in the next couple of years
3. A strategy question related to industries in Japan impacted by the tsunami
4. What I thought about Nehru and his role in the state of Indian economy pre-liberalisation. This question stemmed from the response that I gave to a book I had read in recent past about Indian History.
5. What are the top companies I admire outside India and outside my domain and reasons for the same.

It lasted for 30-40 mins and the prof. gave a patient listening to what I said. He interjected in between whenever he wanted to give his point of view as most of these topics where debatable.

Hope this helps. Waiting desperately for the admission results.

They asked me to prepare the case study beforehand.

2. Did u find any of your co-worker difficult to work with? What you do?
3. Why MBA? Why Singapore?
4. What keeps your team mates motivated?
5. Do you and your co-workers feel that you are working in a capitalistic setup and only for the shareholders? Whats your take.
6. What you do in your role profile?
7. Any questions for us.

It lasted around 20 mins.

Are the interviewer of the same nationality as that of an applicant. if u dont understand their accent than will it reflect negative on my profile. Today i called HKUST nd dat lady was finding it difficult to understand what i was speaking. we werent able to do normal conversation.

Depends on when they go through your application. It can take anytime between a week to 2 months, now that its end-Feb.

I feel your pain buddy..but there is always a very good probability of converting into admission. I guess at max by end of April you should hear back from them.
