@reachmaya hi reachmaya.. these are the two essays which they have said me to write and submit by march 31st.

@ash8ashok You should write to admission committee, they do waive off these requirements on case to case basis.

With INSEAD, you can only mention your preference for the S'pore campus in the application, but it is eventually the b-school's decision, based on space available. However you would still have a choice to go to your preferred campus through the exchange program.

INSEAD also values global exposure- even if you have not travelled outside India but can demonstrate that you have a broad outlook and are easliy adaptable to an international team, then it helps a lot in your application.

Singapore is a financial hub for APAC region, so if you want to stick around in this area after your MBA, then going to business school there would be most beneficial - b-schools mostly have good relationships with the regional businesses and therefore their recruitments with regional/local companies are always at the highest.

NUS has a very good standing in finance and so does NTU. So my suggestion to you is to look more deeply into the kind of profiles you are interested in having after the MBA - do these 3-4 b-schools have students working in those profiles / or any specific companies of your interest?

Thanks Namita! I do not have any international exposure. However, I have worked with international clients notably South Korean officials from POSCO Steel India. We were involved in a project where POSCO was the client. Maybe I can use that to my advantage. Also, are client reco letters good enough. In that case, I will try to get one from the Korean official with whom I worked with on the project. Do you have any information about SMU?

You have a good chance. The application for the 2013 intake would start around October 2012. The NUS essays are a bit different from the other schools, so apply well. Good luck!

What is the general percentage of students getting scholarships in NUS for full time MBA??..And approx what should be the cost for the entire course..along with costs for putting up in singapore. I know the costs mentioned in the college website. I need a personal opinion on this.

Your profile seems good. You from an IT background? If yes, then GMAT is a concern. Try getting it to more than 700, as Indian IT segment is the most competitive. However, if you can package yourself well, have a go with the same score.

Having said that, the admissions for 2012 intake is done. You can apply for the 2013 intake, which would start sometime in October 2012. You have time for that. I suggest retake the GMAT and score well. I was told that had it not been for my GMAT score, probably I wouldn't have been admitted.

I'm from the IT sector (I started in the development area and later moved to project management) and well with the MBA, I'm seeking to move into a product management role in the tech industry, especially in SE Asia Market. Well Nanyang-Waseda does fit what I need, the only concern that I might have (a teeny bit concern) is simply the declining ranking of Nanyang program in the past 3 years.

I don't think Nanyang's reputation is declining in anyway. It's still very much reputed in the region you want to work in. At the same time, NUS is equally, or some might say even more, reputed in the region. The exposure at Nanyang-Waseda would be unique and fantastic, if you can handle switching the universities. That's the only reason I would be in a fix.

If you had the standalone Nanyang MBA admit, I would have suggested the NUS MBA, as I feel NUS is marginally better than Nanyang. But if you feel this exposure to different economies is important, you would need to take a call.

Both are great options. The choice should solely be based on you. Would you be ok with switching schools in the duration of an year? Nanyang-Waseda would give you more exposure, more networking opportunities, in addition to the NTU brand mileage. NUS would give you 16 months in Singapore plus the NUS brand mileage. The choice is yours.
