MDIS is a great place to study in Singapore. I have lot of friends who study in JCU, PSB and other private universities. The motivating factor that led me to choose MDIS kick started when my friends studying in other universities prescribed me to choose MDIS instead of the schools that they are studying.
Professors at MDIS are gem of personalities. Every one possess their own style, providing a mixture of experiences. The assignments demand high quality and the students are not evaluated for their answer scripts alone, but are equally evaluated for their presentations and interpersonal abilities. That was exactly what I wanted to get trained for.Sports, dance, gym, boxing, badminton and 7 stones consists of my weekly routine with my friends. The level 3 of hostel was my hang out during group studies, assignment meetings and mid night chit chats. WoW.. those times are priceless.
Level 5 of the hostel is my evening hang out, lying down on the clod platforms made of granite and starring at the sky and planning my next assignments and meetings were the best of my lonely moments in the hostel life. I wanted to do more to make my life interesting at MDIS. I was nominated to be the resident leader for the hostel students committee. After that, the movie screening activities with Rasid, The Masquerade party organization with David and George.. were all some of my best experiences with the membership department. I felt home and I was never bored. Life was a million times better here.. and the experience is spectacular with different types of people around the world !!!
MBA (UoW) is the program that I underwent in MDIS. It was moderately tough and challenging for me. As I had 2 years of full time work experience in education industry and 4.5 years of part time work experience in Media, I had more examples and insights in my tacit knowledge to relate with the modules of my program.
Exams were easy, as I am well prepared prior to my exams. The professors are supportive and the college facilities were conducive to facilitate my preparations. Assignments comprises the maximum portion of the modules. Team work is not an option.
If you are looking for a MBA, it is all about knowing what you want.
I needed a reputed MBA certificate and a Job in Singapore.
I made both happen.
MBA is not a course, its an experience. It counts everything, and it clearly means that it counts you too. No private organization shall guarantee jobs.. well that doesn mean that you wont get what you want. If you are vibrant enough to showcase what you are ... make good networking.. Trust me.. it works.
If it works for me.. it works for you too..

guys, MBA degrees offered in MDIS is not worth for people who looking for job or career change. those courses are distance learning courses but they say as full time, u will come to know only when u join. I realized only joining the course. Foreign students doing courses in MDIS are not even eligible for employment pass in singapore (u can check it in Singapore government website). so u cant even apply for employment pass. If at all u get any job in singapore, it would be based on ur undergraduate degree.


freshers- dont even bother to consider doing in MDIS. because it is not worth spending 16-18 lakhs (including all expenses).

people with more than 3 years experience and want to do MBA in singapore, NUS and Nanyang are the only colleges to consider.

If u are desperate in doing MBA and u can consider bradford MBA in MDIS as the last option (but I would not suggest to do so).
ofcourse doing Bradford MBA in UK and grenoble MIB in france is always better than offered in MDIS.

as someone said earlier some are get job in MDIS itself for a meager 2500 SGD/month because of necessity.

I'm not care about the placement prospect after graduate, my only concern is : is it easy to pass the exam and get the master degree certification ? am asking this is because I have no confidence of my English, I have no TOFEL/IELTS score. After the recent elections, hiring foreigners have been restricted. Having an MBA from MDIS(Bradford) isn't going to improve your chances. Seniors who have been hired, have been either hired at MDIS itself or as some intermediary for Indian IT companies. If you are looking into banking or finance, you are out of luck.

infact had a word with a current student yesterday & had encouraged that Bradford programme is very good in terms of electives & good quality teaching staff. Though they would not provide any book materials hence make sure you account an extra exp on it.

As for jobs its grim, but its one of the better uni in UK in the tier ii cat. let me know if u r joining.

How are you doing? Just to tell you that job prospects are not bad in singapore as economy is booming world wide. Since i am not the person who is planning to work in singapore post MBA, so i can't comment much on that. THere is no post study work visa kind of thing for singapore, however, being a Bradford student you can het HSMP for UK pretty easily as Bradford university is listed in one of the few colleges in the Home department of UK.

Since, the degree that you get is from Bradford, so there is no question of MDIS being in between. Hope, i answered your questions.

I spoke to one of the representatives from MDIS who happened to visit Bangalore few months back. He told me if a person has more than 3-4 years of experience then he/she should opt for Bradford MBA because MIB is for freshers mostly and there were instances where in people with more no of years of Exp were rejected form MIB. Essentitally MBA degree has more brand value than MIB. So it's better to chose MBA over MIB. Hope i answered your questions. I have already got an offer from Bradford MBA in MDIS after my BAT and interviews. I am waiting for the document to proceed on the visa things.
