Had plans to apply in Queens/Insead/LBS/NUS and ISB.. realized soon that can't arrange the finances, so didn't apply in first three (still wondering, how people arrange that 60-70L amount, add the opportunity costs and it almost becomes a 1Cr game).. NUS could have been affordable (still got to get a 25L loan with some collateral), but just didn't feel like after hurriedly applying ISB.. So it's make or break on Feb15th..

soubhg: you needn't be so modest .. I have seen 7-8 posts where you mentioned that you would join the 2014 thread as ISB is going to ding you on 15th.. great profile you have, am sure it's going to be a positive news for you..

Paying with "arms and kidneys post MBA" cracked me up early in the morning

I have rescheduled a couple of interviews from Mid-Feb to March. All in the name of ISB. Ki... yahan lag jaye toh aur interviews nahi dena

And iss baar kahin bhi nahi lagi toh I'm sure that my referees (from my previous workplace) will not write any more recommendations for me next year. Iss baar I troubled them a lot with SIX applications. And aisa hai ki, if I ask for reference from my current workplace, I will pakke se lose my job along with bonus and all else This place is a very strong believer of part-time MBA; work-and-study I already got a "retention talk" from my manager 2 days back over :cheers:. Not sure what gave him the idea that I'm planning to leave. If I don't get an admit this time, God save me

Neither US nor Singap can be afforded , former provides loan but then u pay with ur arm and kidneys post MBA, singapore provides almost no assistance ... such a waste.....

I like the school...but perhaps did not do well in the appli.

Buddy, you got a call from HBS... over 60% of those i/v get selected... Just go and give a good interview... Chances of converting a call statistically at HBS is higher than at ISB...

When someone said "Great minds think alike" he didnt surely mean that 90 percent of the people will be great. Today the scenario is like that only. 9 out of ten guys are in the s/w industry and its not that I am insulting anyone or any industry.it is just that the stats dont work the way we want them to. business school always wants to diversify the pool so that you learn from your peers. if everybody/most of the people belong to the same industry and sector dont you think learning will suffer.and to your relief its the s/w, finance people only who make up the lot inside schools as well. so i would suggest instead of the number you should go for the percentage. Hope noone feels offended.

isb interview call broke all my momentum and i missed all the deadlines in january second half.....i didnt feel lyk going for anything else.....

Ok..i was being optimistic...and then there is so much uncertainty about getting through that I wanted to get off the uncertainty post 15 feb...
Its 10th now.... and we have almost 5 days....results would be expected at this time after exactly 5 days.....!!!!
