I too am from hyderabad and submitted on 14th evening ... no confirmation reply from my end ...

Is the 100 words essay a mandatory part of the process or are only some random people asked to write one before the interview? Only some people who have attended the interview seem to have mentioned about it.

I am from Kolkata, but my application has not shown verified yet.

Is anyone opting for interview in Delhi, worried about the hassles in Diwali weekend like ( train/flight reservations ) ? or I am the only one ?

Mine is 588, they might also be verifying them based on the interview locations and their dates..So maybe Calcutta is getting checked first

As there are 1700 applicants for R1, can we safely assume that around 1000 would be called for i/v?
Perhaps they are doing the verification in a sequential order. My number is in 400's, submitted on 12th and I got a verification complete mail on sunday night.

Has any of the Kolkata puys received interview calls yet? I am yet to receive one. The last four digits of my application are 0193.

I am from Delhi. Submitted my Application on the 13th, still haven't got a verified mail from ISB. How about others from Delhi region ?

I believe there have already been some interviews completed for the guys who submitted their apps real early..Any feedbacks from there please?

btw, r u frm kolkata mate? As per ur current location(showing as Pune), Hyd would hav been ur nearest interview location

You mean the i/v dates for location Kolkata are in 2nd half of Oct? The application website has dates 26-29th September --> ISB - PGP Online Application Potal

As per their admissions calendar, its supposed to be second half of Oct..But shouldnt be that long

Considering the i/v dates are end of Sep, we should be hearing soon..fingers crossed!!

Haha..do share if you hear anything from the Adcom abt the i/v shortlist. I have my i/v location at Kolkata too.

Got completion mail today...They say they ll inform 7 days before the interview date, if you are shortlisted. Need to fly to Calcutta for that..Hence will need to shell out a lot on air fare

I had also submitted at around same time, app no. in mid 900s. but didn't get completed status from ISB. :shocked:

It all depends on why have you taken the drop. There is no fixed rule for this.

It does not matter where your evaluator is currently working. What matters is how much insight he has regarding your work, how closely he has worked with you and how clearly he can bring out your qualities.

I have heard similar theory. The way I have heard is that the very first look at the application is not by adcom but by current students who have opted to work with adcom. A trivial doubt!
If a person with whom I worked, has moved to a different organization, will his reco. carry the same weight if he had not done so?? Or is it better to have both recos. from current workplace??

would love to be at ISB but I have so many questions regarding it and I am not sure as to who to ask.

I had prepared for about 15-20 questions in my mind. Except for 1-2 questions, I was not asked any of the expected questions.
Having said that, I did what I could, of course I could have done better, but given the circumstance that I was taken aback by the fact that no question was from my exp...

Punisher, how did your interview go? I keep revisiting my interview in my head and feel that i could have answered some questions better. Do you feel that yours was close to the 'perfect' interview? Did they ask you everything you expected?

This year itself. My interview was on 5th August, 2011.

They didn't find any reason to probe you on the general questions because you're application itself was very clear.

Thanks for sharing. You are one lucky chap !!! you were asked all standard questions. I wish they had asked me such questions !!!

Probably too early for people who have given Hyd as pref. for i/v. They mention that interviews will start from 1st oct and they will start sending out letters a week in advance. That would mean by coming weekend, people can expect mails I guess.
