Good going. For the benefit of the anxious soles who've started getting calls, some food for thought. The ISB interview process tends to be quite congenial and friendly, barring a few stress interview experiences.

The interview panel (2 to 3 with atleast 1 alum) makes sure you have the best shot and the ingoing hypothesis is that you are selected unless you prove otherwise. So go there in your most confident stance and be yourself. Most alums sitting there were in your shoes a few years back so try to relate to them as humans rather than gods :)

Make sure you have covered all the aspects of your cv and essays, you can never over-prepare for an interview!

Hi I think the ISB interview ratio is 1:3. The ratio of 1:5 is too high for ISB .I did talk to One of My ISB friend who passed out in 2009.He told me that interview ratio is normally 1:3.Any credible information in this regard will be highly appreciated by all

I would love to believe that for ISB you are selected unless you prove otherwise, but statistically speaking ISB selects just about 1 in 5 post interview whereas they call around 5 in 8 for interviews.

It looks like the interview will be the biggest obstacle on the way if that ratio is maintained.

the best source of ISB interview questions is the experience posted by fellow puys after their interview last year.

Just start looking from page 300 onwards to read the interview experience last year to get an idea about what generally is asked in an interview.

Are you sure it was just this? It seems very unfair to people working in Indian businesses and services. I think the overall work quality and the performance would be measured, rather than just working with overseas counterparts.

Hi all

my very first post!..

i thought the following info might help ease ur anxiety a bit.

I had recieved an application incomplete mail initially as my GMAT score had not reached ISB.
The mail mentioned that my application will be considered if my score reaches ISB by 21 Sep before the shortlisting process is completed.

A small correction Abhishesk,

One week is the maximum notice you can get and not minimum! The adcom says you receive the calls 3- 7 days before the actual interview!!!
Correct me if im wrong.

If I am not wrong, earlier the dates for Hyd interviews were from 1st october, so there's not a big change in dates exp for Hyderabad. And according to me, 1 week is a very minimal time as notice. Especially, for people like me who are working and not in Hyderabad. Flight tickets, leave requests becomes a hassle (as it did for a friend of mine who applied last year) in such cases.

ISB must have been reviewing the application for delhi applicants first since the interview were scheduled much earlier than Hyd and kol.

Now suddenly, there is a change in the interview dates for delhi guys and ISB shifts gear and start reviewing the application for Hyderabad guys.

Now they will definitely need some more time to review and a possible cause for late interview calls even for Hyderabad.
