Esp since students have been calling them and telling them about this theory, they wud not continue to do this (even if they were) and if the people whose docs got updated do finally get calls and the theory is correct then wudnt it be a direct hint for r2 applicants..i dont think isb wud be so unprofessional..

Sorry to stoke the anxiety further, but I just had a brief chat with ISB Admissions Office. I specifically referred to the logic that since it'd be bothersome (and pointless) for the adcom to update the docs for every single one of 1000+ interviewees, and since only a few people have reported their docs as updated, do these people have better chance of getting a final admit? And the reply I got was - Even if we are indeed following this logic, I won't be able to (disclose or) answer that in Yes or No.

Now make what you may out of it.

My take on this - if ISB is aspiring to reach global professionalism (and I am sure that it is), they would be updating all the documents onto the portal, irrespective of the decision. Given that the lady at adcom had laughed at the idea most of us here had and the fact that some people had their documents uploaded even before their interview, we really need not panic - atleast, not yet :D

and to answer dandydude83, mine was updated 2 days ago.

Guys who have had thr docs updated are no doubt going to start fancying there chances of making it , a lil more than earlier. And if the "Doc Theory" fails, and some of these guys dont get calls, would it not be even harder on them

wud agree that gmat is slightly on a lower side... but a fact to share that ISB admits students with lower gmat scores also....

just build up your case and try to overcome the low score with citing some achievements..... and bro the biggest thing that matters is your confidence and attitude for an mba.... i m sure if u can present your case well, all the other drawbacks look smaller.... use the essays and evaluations to highlight your strengths and make the adcom think about giving u a chance...

was just out for lunch at atria mall here in worli... and bumped into one of my panel interviewer - an alum - in the mall..... good to feel that he immediately recognized me and we had a good small chat...
even he is not aware as to when the final mail shud be out.... thats what he actually told me.... so i believe the ball is completely in adcom's court now... and only the final pickings have to be done...

just thought of adding to the anxiety levels...

The qouted date is 15th and not 14th. My Docs have not been updated so far ..its the end of the game I guess. Adcom almost agreed to the logic.

considering I had a good interview and I have the GMAT, WE, very distinct work ex, int'l travel and stocks background - I would be kinda lost what else is needed - so am keeping my hopes high

I went to the Dubai Mall last weekend. The place is HUGE. We got lost in the parking lot because the driver forgot which bay he parked the car and we ended up looking for the car for 45 minutes.

It has a 3 storey aquarium with all kinds of marine life right at the entrance.

No speculations, no theories from my side.

Okay here are the results of the "This That and The other thing" survey.

We had 93 respondents. 6 of these were those who havent been interviewd yet. Deleted there data .... sorry to those guys

So 87 correct response. These are the findings based on that:

And here are some things I found interesting :
From Q1:
From a previous survey we know that around 49% of the R1 Puys are from IT
But 75 % feel that its tougher for the IT guys to make it. So apparently its not just the IT guys who feel so. Many others do too.

From Q2:
25 % of the international applicants are unhappy with thr iVs
13.5 % of the Indian applicants are unhappy with thr iVs.
So apparently more people who had telephonic iVs are unhappy. This might be because they are unable to gauge the reaction of the panel over a phone.

From Q3:
1) Mgmt Consulting is the overwhelming fav.
2) 25 % of the Puys want to be in IT post ISB . Assuming they must already be in IT to want this. and klnowing that 49 % of the Puys are in IT(from prev survey). Atleast half the IT guys dont wanna change thr field. And I thought people in IT hated thr jobs :)
3) Only 11 % want to be in entrepreneurship. Despite it being quite good a no, if 11% become entrepreneurs on passing out from ISB, I somehow get the feeling that more people in thr iVs mentioned Entrepreneurship as thr goal :)

From Q4:
1)The ratio Single Guys : Single gals is less than 3 .... Much better than Engg :)

2) The ratio (Single gal: Taken Gal) is higher than (Single guy:Taken guy) .... This is contrary to the perception that girls get married earlier (There is this perception, right ? ) :)


And finally the disclaimer:
Obviously quite a few of these conclusions might get overturned if there was a bigger sample size :)

I am a doctor and may give you some good tips on avoiding hangovers after the binge in the party;-).
Also you see I am much experienced about all that:iamcool: and hope to make new friends at the start of the course.

I have been following the hot discussions on the blog but enjoyed them as an onlooker rather than participating in it.
But the party is one thing I am looking forwards to.

well, there was a time some of us tried to start a meaningful conversation. But we were taken as a offenders of God. Atleast I felt as if Junta out here has closed there mind and cognition capabilities to hear anything against their rigid believes.

Hello my extended family... (god if I spend half the time that I am on PG every day wid my family... dey will soooo love me!)
