The Recommendation Tab went Green and i clicked the button to send across the Email to Recommenders. I also clicked on the Remind links also , but both the Recommenders did not receive the mail yet

But how did you manage to submit the application without the recommendation tab going green?

You could go to the recommendation tab on your application and select to send a reminder.

I applied to IE about a week back. Though i had provided the details of my Recommenders in the IE Application form , but none of them have yet received an Email yet. So , i wrote to IE a couple of times over the last 1 week , but haven't heard back from them.

IS IE Admission Team laid back on replying back to the Applicant's queries and what can i expect going forward ?

Sorry Steve, unfortunately, you will not get much detailed information here. For some unknown reason, people here loves to aggregate and present a superficial picture. I believe those people are recruiter of the school in disguise or admission consultants.

Use google search and use the information with a large pinch of salt and pepper. Mind that, anyone can be Bill Gate in FREE INTERNET.

I am also looking for some decent option in Europe and yet to find something where I can bet my money and time without a second thought. The stake is much higher now than selecting an engineering college in the past and and need to be clear from marketing gimmicks or marketing intimidation.

In one side people are talking highly about your objective, future career plan and otherside schools are claiming the 2 years will be LIFE CHANGING for you. Interesting paradox!!

Same here, I was interviewed on Jun12. I have just received the enrolment contract and have to take call by Jul30. Let me know how are you looking at financing. I heard he deadline is jul15 for applying for loans. I applied to Insead and HEC apart from IE.

Hi,

I don't think it is usual. I think you might have registered with IE at some point and could be on their mailing list. BTW, IE has an office in mumbai which handles this sort of review for them, a part of their marketing effort!

In any case it's not a bad idea to get your profile reviewed if you are seriously considering this school.

Just got an admit mail for the Apr' 13 IMBA program

HI Guys, i also got admitted for the IMBA April 2013 intake. I have already applied for the scholarships and am actually waiting to hear from financial aid team on my scholarship application before I confirm my seat.

What are your thoughts on the post MBA job prospects. I am really concerned about this since loan repayments are going to be a huge burden even with scholarships and with the ongoing crisis in europe, it all depends on job postings and opportunities from outside Europe.

Congratulations Anand. Some are of the view point that pursuing an MBA now, especially from good schools such as the IE, is perhaps the best option to help ride through the current economic turmoil. My reason to choose IE (if given an admit that is) would be the Venture Labs and my chance to evolve a successful startup.

Do you mind sharing your profile and also when were you interviewed, where and when did you receive the admit. My details follow:

1] Acads- BA Sociology (below avg. grades)
2] GMAT- 680
3] Workex ~ 9 years (Marketing, Sales- Retail Banking, Insurance, BPO) all domestic experience based out of India.
4] Currently founder of a startup (a concept company called zerO Business solutions)- Current project is to do with the domestic database and lead generation space in the India.
5] Interviewed on the 9th of June at the IE Mumbai off.
6] Yet to hear on my application status from IE.

good to see u r reply. I am working currently in Dubai and i have been interviewed at Dubai office by one of the IE team and an alumini. I was interviewed in the month of April 2012. I received my offer and on acceptance of the same the confirmation was sent to me. I have already paid the initial fees. I have already approached credila when i was in India last month, but unfortunately they are asking for the collateral warranty more than the loan amount. They even require a guarantor on my behalf who should basically have a blood relation with the applicant. They are very tough guys. The only option is internationl banks. I badly need scholarship also. Please update me. If you dont mind pls mail me on engineer_patnaik@yahoo.com...bye...

As mentioned in my previous discussion, i have already paid the confirmation fee of 6200 which is not refundable. There is no question of looking back. My concern is only the loan which i am looking out for. I wanted to hear from the current students regarding IE's classroom environment. Give me your contact no. May be i can speak to you. I am still in Muscat and have requested for a deferment to Apr '13 entry. So guess we will catch up at the same time. With regard to the scholarships, you will actually narrow down to 3-4 after going through the details. But do certainly apply for the 'Foundation' scholarship. You can be certain to receive a minimum grant of 5000 Euros. Have you already made up your mind to join IE? It's a good school but the Euro crisis is a bit worrying. We still have a lot of time to make up our mind, isn't it? Will be in touch.

All the very best on the admit; i am also an applicant to the Apr'13 IMBA program. I was interviewed on the 9th of June at their Mumbai office; yet to receive a status mail from IE.

Have not researched on the scholarship bit but i know that loans are offered by HDFC Credila and also by Caja Madrid Spain amongst others.

It's a great school to be in, particularly if you have the entrepreneurial bent.

When were you interviewed? was it face-to-face or via Skype? Did someone from the India office conduct the interview or were they from Madrid?
