1) IE Business school holds itself as a school focused on Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Driving Ethically charged Graduates into successful corporate directors. Social responsibility, Organizational Leadership are some IE's key strengths. IE cannot be compared perhaps with Said Business School because IE has been around for much longer and it's legacy is the foundational focus of entrepreneurship and intrapreneurial abilities matched with having been around for 30+ years. LBS: To me LBS is like Wharton, I'm not sure I'm heavily focused on Consulting or Finance. However LBS is creme de la financial powerhouses recruiting on campus. INSEAD: The place to be if you want to the know the in's and outs or Leadership with a sharp focus on General Management - good place to hang out for 12 mos if consulantcies are attractive to you. IMD: Superb School if you can identify yourself with school's yearbook of student profiles. I'm not sure I liked it all that much compared to the likes of INSEAD or Empresa (But I'm being subjective) IMD is a superior leadership focused school producing some of the finest graduates.
2. Placement: Well there's always BCG, Booz Allen, Microsoft, Google, AT Kearney, McKinsey that always recruit on capmus followed by L'oreal, Louis Vuitton, Lancome..etc. Then if you love industrial powerhouses like Porsche, BMW AG, VW, Airbus, they also recruit at Empresa. NOTE: There's no such real thing as on campus recruitment anymore it's a facade and a formality (I'm being harsh and subjective). It's more all about how rampantly you network and grow yourself by aggressively pursuing your interests objectively.
Scholarships - There's enough to go around for everyone. Apply early and start doing your homework on the logistics of an application process at Empresa.
Consultancies: Wouldn't be too worried about this - as I mentioned earlier all the Top consultancies do recruit on campus. Make sure you're a good student not just acads but non-acads as well play a role regardless of what the typical guys tell you.
Global Crises: Well, the EU is doing very well for employment, India is a paymaster these days for me it has been that way as my experience, the middle-east doesn't know when to stop paying for top tier talent.
International Students: I only have 30 students in my cohort - every student in my class is from a different country. How's that for diversity?
Case Based: This is the only way out.. it's practical it's real and readily applicable when you get into professional scenarios that perhaps might be (rare) or very close to kinds of cases we reviewed in class. Seriously hold on to your texts if you like a full-on read but as a Client Services Director for a start up pharma this makes far more sense to me - Case based approach has its own merits and i would ask you to research this online too.
I trust my response helped you in some meagre way.Don't hesitate to zero in on specific items you wish to have further addressed.
