If iam not mistaken, the ranking is based on evaluation of IIMBs 2 years program.

The ranking is based on the institute's perception as a whole - MBA aspirants, current MBA students, young executives at companies, recruiters (human resource heads and functional heads), and permanent faculty of B-schools - across various parameters.

I suggest that you still apply. GMAT is one criteria in evaluation. A good SOP and personal interview may get you through.

Your profile looks good. You have not cleared Class 12, I don't know whether clearing Class 12 is mandatory to apply. I will check with the office, may be you can also check with the EPGP office.

When IIMB adcom reads an application, I am sure they read it very carefully and based on some criteria they accept or reject it. and at the time of accepting or rejecting they clearly know that why they are doing so, which they can record in their database for future use.

Now if some applicant ask the reason of his/her rejection, adcom can just go to database and pick the comment and reply to the applicant without so much effort.

This is just a recommnedation withought knowing the internal working of IIMB adcom.
Appreciate the responses from Current Students / EPGP.

My thoughts are - No the person should not assume that s/he is not fit for EPGP. In case of reject a person will have to wait for one year inorder to apply again. A lot can change in one year. One should definately apply to IIM B again after rejection if one feels that there is an improvement in her/his profile after last time.

I understand your point that rejection without explanation can leave applicant more or less clueless but in absence of any feedback from IIM B one has to introspect to understand her/his mistakes. I know that we all put our best effort in application but if we fail then instead of thinking why I failed despite putting my best effort one should start looking at her/his application critically and try to find out if something was missing. I guess unless IIM B starts providing feedback even for those applicants who were not called for interview, the above is the only thing we can do.

Having said that, it will be great if current students in IIM B can advise adcom to start providing feedback for all the applicants.

I totally agree with the IIMB's perspective that number of applications are huge, However at the same time nobody can ignore an applicant's perspective that he/she is clueless about his/her rejection.

It would be nice if solution can be worked out towards this.

Atul, you can get references from ex-colleagues if your current supervisors or colleagues are not in a position to give you feedback. AdCom also understands this. In the reference form, there is a dropdown to specify the relationship between you and the person who is going to give feedback. Make sure you choose the correct dropdown.

I might be asking this question before time, but i want to make sure that i don't miss it.
I am asking this because it'll help future applicants/re-applicants alot in aligning themselves with IIM-Bs requirements .

It may not be possible to get feedback on application, if you fail to get screened for interview (The number of applicants may be huge and it is not possible for adcom to provide individual feedback for each).

However you may get feedback if you fail to get selected post interview.

I was wondering if IIMB is very stringent with SOP word limit. My SOP is coming around 630+ words. Please advise if its ok or should I make it 600 words.

Last year there were 2 modes of submitting the SOP. There was a web-based form where you could type in the SOP and there was a facility where you could upload your SOP as a word doc or PDF file. If it was done using the former method I think there was a hard limit of 600 words as there was some validation built into the web-based form.
My own principle would be to stick to the limit which is prescribed.

You can leave it blank or specify "no publications". It may not be possible for people in all industries to publish articles/books.

I received a mail today from EPGP asking to confirm my attendance and my choice of location to attend an Information Session. But when I am replying to that mail it is getting failed.
